This summer, we are looking for an outstanding individual to fill the Business Intelligence and Automation Intern position to join our team in Tysons, VA! This is a paid internship, and training will be provided to help you learn automation tools and techniques leveraging the Microsoft automation platform. Additionally, this person will become skilled in using Microsoft Power BI for business intelligence reports that help the organization manage information. This position will be a hybrid position, working remotely most of the time and on-site at least a few days per month. With an average of 20 to 25 hours per week, you will work under the direction of the CATHEXIS CTO. CATHEXIS will provide all training courses, a laptop, and licensing.
This is a great opportunity for a rising high school senior, first- or second-year college student, to get hands-on experience and mentorship. The internship is available from June 2nd to July 31st, 2025.
ResponsibilitiesAutomation activities include:
- Learning how to create Power Automate workflows
- Support CATHEXIS internal services by developing automations to support operational tasks
- Leverage Microsoft cloud solutions such as Azure AI Studio, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and Power Automate to create synthetic solutions to improve teammate productivity
Business Intelligence activities include:
- Creating business intelligence reports supporting multiple operating departments
- Connecting to various data sources, doing data transformations, and scheduling automated refreshes
Our ideal candidate brings:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to understand and follow complex, detailed technical instructions
- Ability to think logically and plan work sequences
- Ability to research error messages and solve problems
- Work remotely with a commitment to staying engaged with low levels of supervision
- Work on-site in the Tyson's office two to three days per month
- Ability to work responsibly and independently.
- Desire to learn automation technology, business intelligence, and reporting
- 3.0 GPA or above
- Some development experience in common languages such as JavaScript, C#, or Python
CATHEXIS offers competitive compensation packages to all eligible employees. Our goal is to provide a compensation package that reflects the value you bring to our team, is competitive with market rates, and promotes your financial security and personal well-being. The hourly rate for this role is $25.00 up to 20-25 hours per week. Please note that the salary information provided is a general guideline.
