The company is engaged in initiatives to realize the goals associated with the company's core business and technology strategies. The organization has formed a data team and is implementing the company's Data Repository. The repository will be the single source of truth for reporting and analytics for the company. Also, the core loan accounting system is undergoing an upgrade, which when complete, will present a significant change in data connectivity and data structures for the company. One major activity that needs to occur to prepare for the system upgrade is the conversion of operational reports from Crystal Reports, SQL Server Reporting Services, and direct-connected spreadsheets to Power BI.
About the project: Provides loans, insurance, and appraisal services for farmland, ag real estate, equipment, and livestock, as well as young and beginning farmers.
Location: 100% ON-SITE - Monday to Friday, from Asuncion-Paraguay. Working hours are based on the US Central Time Zone.

Specific Initiatives
Back-Office Data Report Conversions: The back-office systems and data provider for the company will replace the core loan accounting system. To prepare for the new system implementation, approximately 400 reports need to be converted from Crystal Reports, SQL Server Reporting Services, and direct-linked spreadsheets to Power BI.
The Business Intelligence Analyst will support this migration by:
- Participating in the conversion of legacy reports to the Data Repository using pb Power BI.
- Serving as a source of guidance for business users on best practices in report authoring using Power BI.
The company Data Model
As a single source of truth, the Data Repository will provide the company Data Model to the organization. The data model will make available all reportable information to the company data stakeholders. That model will allow reporting back-office, front- office loan origination, and potentially third-party data in a centralized structure.
The Business Intelligence Analyst will participate in the development of the data model by:
- Collaborating with the data team and business users regarding the optimal placement of data into fact, dimension, slowly changing dimensions, and conformed dimensions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Crystal Reports, SQL Server Report Studio), Power Query M, DAX, SQL, data modeling, and data visualization techniques.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge in analytical skills and ability to turn data into insights and intelligence that drive business value.
- Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills; able to work across business lines and work toward common goals.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud-based BI solutions and data warehousing especially Azure.
- Certification in BI tools or data analytics
