Core hours: Monday to Friday from 8am – 4:30pm PST

We value collaboration, both in-person and remotely. This position is classified as Hybrid under our Hybrid Work Program Policy, where this position is required to be onsite 3-4 days per week.
Role Summary
As the Business Development Specialist, you will generate new relationships by following up on leads and guiding prospects through the qualification and application process. You will review Spa Partner Applications, receive target call lists from various sources, and proactively engage with leads to identify potential new Eminence Spa Partners. You will work closely with assigned territory’s Outside Sales Representatives and Outside Sales Managers to convert leads into active accounts and provide each prospective Spa Partner with an excellent first impression of Eminence. In this role, you will report to the Business Development Team Lead.
Responsibilities
  • Receive new Spa Partner Applications and begin the review process by conducting research, collaborating with the Outside Sales teams, and following up with each applicant
  • Qualify leads: complete discovery call and gather lead information and business needs; explain Eminence partnership expectations regarding licensing (facility and staff), opening orders and minimum order amounts
  • Follow up with leads after initial contact to confirm receipt of sample prospecting orders.
  • Meet regularly with Outside Sales Representatives and Outside Sales Managers to discuss territory strategy, lead pipeline, and collaborate on actions and approach to new business
  • Complete follow-up with all leads generated from in-person and virtual tradeshows within a strict 48-hour timeframe (approx. 20-25 tradeshows and events per year)
  • Attend and support 2-3 in-person tradeshows or networking events in North America throughout the year
  • Research and discover new business opportunities by prospecting and cold calling within assigned territories
  • Proactively conduct multiple touch points to engage nonresponsive leads to move them through the sales cycle
  • Manage the tracking of leads and provide accurate, informative, and actionable reports in a timely manner to leaders and Outside Sales Representatives
  • Maintain updated lead communications in lead generation software for assigned territory and share lead pipeline updates with Sales leaders on a regular basis
  • Perform any other Sales-related duties as required including coverage of other Business Development areas

Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of experience in making outbound calls and prospecting
  • 3–4 years Customer Service experience 
  • 3–4 years of Sales experience
  • Esthetic industry and/or previous experience with Eminence product line an asset
  • Possess a hunter mentality with a positive attitude and high-energy
  • Assertive, resilient, and self-motivated
  • Superior interpersonal & Customer Service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, lead generation software, Asana, Salesforce, CRM, and other databases
  • Demonstration of responsibility and ownership – ability to see things through and manage tasks and projects to completion
  • Ability to multitask and work well in a high-pressure, multiple-deadline environment
  • Ability to travel throughout North America 10% of the year,
