Job Summary:
The Business Development Specialist at DQE Communications will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities and supporting the sales team in driving revenue growth. This role will focus on conducting market research, analyzing trends, and coordinating with the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure opportunities are effectively managed through the pipeline. Must be local to the Pittsburgh area. Hybrid work environment.
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Support in-depth market research efforts to identify new business opportunities, target audiences, and industry trends.
  • Analyze competitor strategies and market conditions to inform campaign design.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to design and develop innovative and effective campaigns.
  • Help define campaign goals, target segments, messaging, and channels.
  • Execute multi-channel sales and marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media outreach, content creation, and direct communication.
  • Use CRM database to ensure accurate and up-to-date information on campaign progress.
  • Proactively identify and research potential strategic partners.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key contacts that can lead to mutually beneficial partnerships and new revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, partners, and key industry contacts to foster trust and long-term growth.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, such as open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and ROI.
  • Use data to generate insights and recommendations for optimizing future campaigns.
  • Support sales team with the creation of sales proposals, RFP responses and proposal slide decks.
  • Prepare regular reports on campaign performance and business development activities for management and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and network planning to ensure alignment and maximize results.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and best practices in business development, sales, and marketing.
  • Proactively suggest new ideas and strategies to improve our processes and outcomes.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Proven track record of successfully executing sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of the sales and marketing funnel and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, NetSuite) and marketing automation tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.
