Imagine One is currently seeking a Business Development Specialist. This position is accountable for developing and maintaining customer and industry business relationships, focusing primarily on DoD and other Federal markets; identifying, qualifying, and developing business opportunities focused on building and maintaining an appropriate revenue pipeline to meet and exceed division goals. Establishes and nurtures relationships with current and potential clients to ascertain their requirements and apprise them of company capabilities. Coordinates and exchanges information and leads with Imagine One management and other personnel; responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual business development metrics and tracking system for division(s); works closely with capture managers to develop winning proposals based upon well executed capture plans and winning partnerships with similar and/or complementary companies. Provides input to market strategies and research. Participates in special projects as required, and performs other duties as assigned.
 
Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Identify and qualify new opportunities aligned with Corporate strategic direction to meet Business Unit business plan objectives.
  • Build and drive execution of a robust multi-year opportunity pipeline.
  • Perform detailed research and analysis of the use of various search engines to identify new opportunities, new markets and customers within our strategic plan.
  • Provide a bi-weekly new opportunity identification report and review with Senior BD staff.
  • Update internal pipeline, provide pipeline reports, and provide pipeline metrics to Senior BD staff
  • Leverage internal, external team, public, and personal resources and contacts for customer and competitive intelligence.
  • Develop and recommend customer contact plans across all levels of the customer organization; Identify and document customer’s key issues, concerns, and “hot buttons” through direct customer contact, leveraging all available resources; Develop effective messages and questions to maximize the competitive value of each contact; Document results and observations for analysis and application to future capture activities.
  • Support Request for Information (RFI) and Sources Sought development for a potential business proposal and engage internal resources as needed for input/review.
  • Assist capture managers with Capture Management Plan construction and presentations to Corporate.
  • Attend and participate in weekly BD meetings and/or teleconferences with corporate and other regions.
  • Support Proposal Managers in proposal development planning and color team reviews as needed.
  • Ensure designated regional BD pipeline status information is accurately reflected in up-channel reporting systems and presented at Corporate pipeline and gate reviews.
  • Support Senior BD staff and Capture Managers in the development of gate reviews during the different phases of Captures.

Experience Requirements: Requires a minimum of three to five years of experience. Familiarity with DoD acquisition is a key requirement, and having experience with Federal and commercial customers is a plus. At least one year of data mining experience using tools like GovWin, Fed Biz Opps, and other related opportunity assessment tools.
 
The candidate must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, decisiveness, and commitment to the growth and success of the company. The candidate must be willing and able to work extended hours and travel as necessary and must be COMMITTED TO WINNING. 
 
In addition, the candidate must possess the following attributes:

  • Demonstrated expertise and success in identifying and qualifying new opportunities for services in core company competencies and in new market sectors.
  • Understand the complete business development process from lead qualification through proposal submission.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; public speaking background a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity tools (WORD, PowerPoint, Excel).

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree required.
 
Security Requirements: Current clearance desired; must be eligible to obtain U.S. Government clearance and be a U.S. citizen

Skills Required
