This is a phone job. You will spend most of your shift on the phone, following up on leads, and typing notes into a CRM. It is repetitive by design, it is measured every single day, and the people who succeed here are the ones who make the next call after a bad one.
We are not looking for someone who “enjoys helping people.” Almost everyone says that. We are looking for someone who shows up on time every day, hits their numbers, and does the follow-up work when nobody is watching.
If that sounds like the job you want, keep reading. If it doesn’t, we’d rather you find that out now than in week three.
What you’ll actually do all day- Answer inbound sales calls for all nine of our franchises, plus every inbound call on used inventory. You are the front door for the entire group, and you’ll learn nine brands well enough to help a customer that spent three weeks researching one.
- Work every internet lead with an email, a text, and a phone call. Most of our leads go to whoever responds first, so speed is the whole game.
- Make outbound follow-up calls to leads that haven’t answered yet. This is the bulk of the job. Many of these go nowhere. You make the next one anyway.
- Set sales appointments and confirm them so they actually show up.
- Log every interaction in the CRM accurately, the same day, every time. An unlogged call didn’t happen.
- Work the follow-up cadence on aged leads that other people gave up on.
- Coordinate with sales managers and the Customer Care Center Manager so the customer’s visit goes smoothly.
You’ll know where you stand at all times. We track:
- Customer efforts — 150 per day. That’s calls, emails, and texts combined. Every internet lead gets all three, and inbound calls count toward the total. Our current agents hit this without breaking a sweat.
- Speed to first response on a new lead — under 15 minutes
- Appointments set — 60 per week. That’s 12 a day, which is what our current agents average. It’s a real target being met by real people, not a stretch goal.
- Show rate on the appointments you set — 65% to 70%. Our sales managers confirm your appointments, so the ones you set are the ones that walk in.
- Call quality scores from recorded call reviews
- CRM documentation accuracy
These numbers are reviewed with you weekly. Your incentive is paid on appointments scheduled and sold, so hitting them is what moves your paycheck. Agents who consistently miss them don’t stay in the role.
Worth knowing: our sales team closes about 80% of the appointments that show. That’s unusually high, and it means the work you do on the phone turns into deals — and into your incentive — at a rate most call centers can’t offer.
The scheduleFull-time, 40 hours per week, scheduled within our hours of operation:
- Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturdays are part of the job. Evening shifts are part of the job. These are our busiest hours and the reason the position exists. Reliable, on-time attendance is a core requirement, not a bonus.
What we’re looking for- 1–2 years of contact center, retail, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred — the common thread is a job where you were measured and had to show up.
- High school diploma required. Additional education is a plus, not a substitute for work ethic.
- Clear, confident phone voice and clean written communication. You’ll be texting and emailing customers on behalf of the dealership.
- Comfort with being coached. We record calls, we review them with you, and we expect you to apply the feedback.
- Basic computer competence — CRM, email, multiple tabs, typing while talking.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Every posting says “team player.” Here’s what it means in this department:
- The queue gets covered. When a teammate is out, at lunch, or buried, the calls still get answered — by you.
- No cherry-picking. You work the aged and difficult leads in your queue, not just the easy ups.
- You don’t touch someone else’s customer. Credit goes to whoever owns the lead, and everyone here knows the difference.
- New agents get help. If you’ve been here six months and someone asks you a question, you answer it.
- What you learn gets shared. If you find a talk track or a follow-up approach that works, the room hears about it.
We pay individually and we win as a department. Agents who hit their numbers by making life harder for everyone around them don’t last here either.
This is probably not the right job for you if- You need a lot of variety day to day.
- Rejection on the phone gets under your skin.
- You’d rather not be measured on specific numbers.
- Saturdays and evenings don’t work for your life right now.
- You want a job where you can quietly coast.
None of the above makes you a bad employee — it makes you a bad fit for this seat, and we’d both rather know up front.
What we offer- $19.50 per hour base ($40,560/year) plus a monthly incentive paid on appointments scheduled and sold — performing agents earn an additional $1,200 to $2,000 per month, bringing total annual earnings to roughly $55,000 to $65,000
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) retirement plan
- Paid holidays and vacation time
- Paid on-the-job training and ongoing coaching
- Tuition assistance opportunities
- Employee discounts
- A clear path into sales, service, or management for agents who perform — several of our current managers started on the phones
Submit your resume, and include a short note (a few sentences is fine) answering one question:
Tell us about a job where your performance was measured by a number, and what your number was.
Applications without an answer to that question won’t be reviewed. It takes two minutes, and it tells us more than a resume does.
