The Role
Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting to musculoskeletal healthcare practices through email, phone, and LinkedIn. Research target accounts, personalize messaging, qualify inbound leads, book and brief meetings for Account Executives, maintain accurate CRM records, share market feedback, and achieve monthly meeting and opportunity targets. The role is remote and designed for an early-career sales professional who is coachable, organized, resilient, and comfortable with phone-based outreach.
Summary Generated by Built In
Flagler Health is building the clinical operating system for modern musculoskeletal care.

We partner with MSK provider groups and specialty clinics to help them grow, operate more efficiently, and deliver better longitudinal care across patient acquisition, clinical workflows, and ongoing patient engagement. Our platform sits at the intersection of care delivery and clinic operations, helping providers capture more value across the full patient lifecycle.

We’ve recently raised our Series B and are entering our next phase of growth.

The Role:

This is the front door to Flagler's revenue engine. As a Business Development Representative, you own the top of the funnel: identifying MSK practices that fit our profile, reaching the people who run them, earning a first conversation, and handing a qualified, well-briefed opportunity to an Account Executive.

You'll be selling into a market that is genuinely underserved. Practice administrators and physician-owners are drowning in administrative burden, and most have never seen a tool built specifically for how MSK care actually works. Your job is to get them to look.

This role is built for someone early in their career who wants to learn enterprise-grade healthcare sales the right way. You will be trained on the product, on the buyer, on the clinical and revenue-cycle vocabulary, and you will be expected to put that training to work in high volume, every day.

What You'll Do
  • Run outbound prospecting into MSK practices — orthopedics, spine, pain management, physiatry, and physical therapy — across email, phone, and LinkedIn

  • Research target accounts to understand practice size, specialty mix, EMR, provider count, and likely pain points before you ever reach out

  • Write and personalize outbound sequences that speak to a practice administrator's actual problems, not a generic value prop

  • Make a high volume of outbound calls and hold real conversations with gatekeepers, office managers, practice administrators, and physician-owners

  • Qualify inbound leads from marketing, events, and referrals against our ICP criteria

  • Book qualified meetings for Account Executives and brief them thoroughly enough that they walk in prepared

  • Keep CRM data clean and current — activity, notes, next steps, disposition. Pipeline hygiene is part of the job, not an afterthought

  • Feed what you're hearing in the market back to sales, marketing, and product: objections, competitive mentions, messaging that lands and messaging that doesn't

  • Hit and exceed monthly targets for qualified meetings booked and opportunities created

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of professional experience. This can be your first sales role — we care more about drive and coachability than a resume line

  • Comfort with the phone. A meaningful share of this job is picking it up and calling someone who wasn't expecting you

  • Clear, concise written communication. You can write an email that a busy practice administrator will actually read

  • Genuine curiosity about how businesses work — you want to understand a practice's economics, not just recite features

  • Resilience and a short memory for rejection. Most outreach doesn't convert; the best BDRs don't slow down

  • Organization and self-direction. This role is remote, and nobody will be watching your calendar for you

  • Willingness to be coached in public — on call reviews, in pipeline reviews, in real time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to healthcare, medical practices, revenue cycle management, or health tech

  • Experience with a CRM and sales engagement tooling (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, ZoomInfo, or similar)

  • Prior SDR/BDR internship, campus sales program, or commission-based work of any kind

  • Comfort with AI tools as part of a daily workflow

Work Environment:
  • We have video on for our weekly team syncs and pair-coding/tech discussions. Camera is required to be on during meetings.

Our Values:

This is what you can expect of your teammates at Flagler:

  • Owner: We own our work like founders. We don't wait to be asked, and we pick up the problem nobody else has.

  • Builder: We like making things from scratch. We don't need a playbook to start, and we'd rather ship a rough first version than wait on a perfect spec.

  • Fast: We make quick decisions. We favor progress and respect process.

  • Transparent: We communicate directly. We value merit and honesty, and we challenge assumptions, including our own.

  • Curious: We explore new approaches and ask "why" often.

  • Comfort with phone-based outbound calling
  • Clear, concise written communication
  • Curiosity about business operations and practice economics
  • Resilience and ability to handle rejection
  • Organization and self-direction in a remote role
  • Willingness to receive coaching and feedback
  • Experience or exposure to healthcare, medical practices, revenue cycle management, or health technology
  • Experience with CRM and sales engagement tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, or ZoomInfo

  • Comfort using AI tools in daily workflows
