The Opportunity

The Business Development Representative will focus on identifying and developing new business opportunities while nurturing client relationships across healthcare, real estate, property management, and other service-based industries. Primary responsibilities include prospecting potential clients, generating leads, conducting outreach campaigns, and presenting Zentric AI solutions to business stakeholders. The selected candidate will collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to support revenue growth and strengthen the company’s market presence.

This is a performance-based independent contractor role where earning potential is directly tied to results. Compensation

This is a performance-based independent contractor position (1099) and does not include a base salary.

Compensation is structured around closed business, with a tiered commission and bonus model designed to reward consistent performance and long-term growth. As monthly closed deals increase, earning potential scales accordingly.

This opportunity is best suited for motivated, self-directed professionals who are confident in their ability to build pipeline, create opportunities, and close business consistently. Additional compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.

Candidate Brief/FAQWhat is this role, exactly?

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. You will be representing Zentric AI as a Business Development Representative. Your primary responsibilities are prospecting, qualifying potential clients, scheduling product demonstrations with Zentric AI's leadership team, and managing the relationship through to contract execution. You are not an employee of Zentric AI. You set your own schedule, manage your own pipeline, and operate as your own business.

Do I run the product demos?

No. Product demonstrations are conducted by Zentric AI's leadership team. Your role is to identify and qualify the right prospects, get them scheduled for a demo, and then own the relationship through the post-demo process by following up on the proposal, addressing questions, and ensuring the contract gets signed and submitted.

This structure allows you to stay focused on what drives your income: prospecting and closing.

Is there a base salary?

No. This role is commission-only. Your income is entirely performance-based. We have structured the compensation to reward consistent closers: The more you close in a given month, the higher your per-deal earnings become.

How does the commission structure work?

You earn a base commission on every closed deal, calculated on the first six months of the client's monthly platform fee. On top of that, you earn a tiered performance bonus that increases based on your monthly deal volume. The full compensation structure is shared during the interview process.

When do I get paid?

Commissions are paid on the 1st and 15th of each month via ACH transfer or check. Your commission is triggered when two conditions are met: the client signs their agreement and the setup fee is collected. You do not need to wait for the client to be fully onboarded to receive payment.

What happens if a client cancels after I get paid?

Once your commission is paid, it is yours. Zentric AI assumes the churn risk after payment. The only exceptions involve fraud or material misrepresentation on your part -- standard protections that apply to any sales role.

Is there a performance expectation?

Yes. While you control your own schedule, this role carries a professional expectation of consistent pipeline activity and regular deal closure. This is not a passive or occasional role. Representatives are expected to be actively prospecting, scheduling, and following up on an ongoing basis. Specific performance expectations are discussed during onboarding.

Am I responsible for my own taxes?

Yes. As a 1099 contractor, you are responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, including self-employment taxes. Zentric AI will issue a Form 1099-NEC at year end. We recommend consulting a tax professional if you are new to independent contractor work.

Can I work other jobs or represent other companies?

Yes, with one important boundary. You are free to work with other clients and businesses. However, you may not solicit or conduct business with Zentric AI's clients or prospects on behalf of a competing product. This restriction remains in place for 24 months following the end of your agreement with Zentric AI.

Do I need any specific tools or equipment?

Yes. As an independent contractor, you are responsible for providing your own computer, phone, internet access, and any other tools you need to do the work. Zentric AI does not provide equipment or reimburse business expenses.

Is this role fully remote?

Yes. There is no office requirement. You must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States. Zentric AI is not able to sponsor visas for this role.

What does the onboarding process look like?

Before representing Zentric AI's products, you will complete a sales training program covering product knowledge, demo scheduling procedures, proposal follow-up processes, and compliance requirements. You will also need to submit a completed IRS Form W-9 before receiving any commission payments.
