The Role
At Sovos, we're looking for a motivated Business Development Representative to help us connect businesses with the compliance solutions they need to thrive. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for potential clients, sparking interest through targeted outreach, relationship-building, and genuine curiosity about how we can help them solve real challenges. Your work will directly fuel our sales pipeline and open doors to new opportunities across the market.
More specifically, you will:
- Generate qualified sales meetings by identifying and engaging potential business prospects through networking, outreach, and strategic follow-up on marketing campaigns.
- Partner with Sales Executives to develop and execute territory plans that align with revenue and pipeline creation targets.
- Leverage AI tools and structured outreach processes to manage multiple sales opportunities simultaneously and build a strong, active pipeline.
- Independently introduce and promote Sovos' solutions to customers and prospects, demonstrating discretion and sound judgment in every interaction.
- Develop and deliver regular forecasts of revenue goals and outreach objectives, contributing to the team's achievement of broader business targets.
- Identify and implement enhancements to outreach strategies, processes, tools, and materials to benefit both internal teams and external prospects.
What You Bring to Sovos
- You're ready to build a career in business development, with strong communication skills and a track record of meeting goals — whether in sales, customer service, or another client-facing role.
- You engage effectively with mid-level and executive contacts, adapting quickly in conversations and maintaining a professional, positive demeanor.
- You're comfortable with AI-assisted workflows and proficient with contact management solutions (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office tools.
- You bring strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, including the ability to present confidently to small or large groups.
- You're a creative problem-solver with strong planning, organization, and prioritization abilities, and you're proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn.
- Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire.
