The Role
The Founding Business Development Representative will build Raison’s outbound pipeline through personalized LinkedIn, email, and phone outreach. They will identify companies with AI adoption signals, reach transformation and executive decision-makers, qualify opportunities, book meetings for the Account Executive and founders, and provide market feedback to refine targeting and messaging. This early commercial hire will work closely with leadership and is expected to grow toward an Account Executive role.
Summary Generated by Built In
* Raison is on a mission to provide humans with better skills so they can feel confident and have more opportunities in the AI era. We help companies make sure 100% their teams master AI, directly in the flow of work (Teams, Slack) so that AI knowledge spreads across the organization instead of pooling in a handful of champions.
* We are passionate entrepreneurs believing that the ongoing AI revolution should be shared by all employees; and that the future of corporate interactions should not be restricted to private human-machine chats. Raison is capturing what champions create with AI, turning it into shared, governed skills, and propagating them so everyone feels capable and empowered; acting as a powerful lever to accelerate the AI transformation of corporates.
* We recently raised €2m from a top French VC + BPI and a selection of high-profile business angels who believe AI mastery is the highest-leverage application of AI inside companies. We are signing our first corporate design partnerships this September.
Tasks
Founding Business Development Representative
* We are looking for a Founding BDR to open Raison's pipeline. You will find the companies where AI has been deployed but isn't actually used, reach the person who has to answer for it, and turn that conversation into a qualified meeting with our Account Executive and founders.
* You will reach out to Transformation leads, Heads of AI, CFOs and COOs in mid-sized companies at the moment something forces them to act: their board, CEO or PE fund is asking what AI has delivered, or the person who carried the AI program is leaving. Our wedge isn't one more training session. It's making AI stick across every team, and showing what actually changed. You'll need to tell that story in two sentences, on the phone and in writing.
* As a founding commercial hire, you'll work hand-in-hand with the CEO, our AE and the founding GTM/Ops. What you hear in the field will shape who we target and how we talk to them.
* This role is perfect for someone early in their sales career who'd rather learn by building than by running someone else's script: no inbound engine, no big brand yet; only a sharp story, real signals and you.
What you will do:
* Spot the signals that matter before anyone else: a new Head of AI, a departing AI champion, an AI committee being set up, a board or fund pushing on AI, then reach the right person.
* Run personalized outbound on LinkedIn, email and phone. Our best results come from one well-researched message, not a hundred automated ones.
* Qualify every conversation against what actually predicts a deal: has the company already started acting on this before talking to us? Who is asking for results, and by when?
* Book qualified meetings for our AE and founders, with a clean handoff: the trigger, the team, the buyer.
* Feed what you hear straight back to the team (objections, vocabulary, which titles answer and which don't)
Requirements
Who you are:
* 1–3 years in a sales, BDR/SDR or growth role, ideally in B2B SaaS or consulting.
* You write short, sharp messages that people answer, and you're comfortable on the phone with a C/VP-level.
* You use AI every day, including to research your prospects.
* You're resilient: most messages won't get a reply, and you treat every "no" as data.
* Organized and rigorous: you log everything, because we learn from patterns, not anecdotes.
* Fluent in French and English.
* You want to grow into an AE role as the company scales.
Benefits
* A founding role with equity and direct influence on company strategy.
* Competitive salary, benchmarked to the Paris startup ecosystem.
* Flexibility: remote-friendly with regular in-person collaboration in Paris and an office in Montmartre with a beautiful Sacré-Coeur view.
* A front-row seat to one of the most important shifts in how humans learn.
* A small, sharp team that ships fast and trusts each other to figure things out.
If you want ownership, equity, and the kind of career-defining challenge that only comes from being early, we'd love to hear from you. Apply now and join Raison at the forefront of the AI-for-learning revolution.
Raison is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and are committed to building a diverse, inclusive team.
