Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will lead efforts to identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships that align with the company’s long-term strategic goals. This role focuses on building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, analyzing market trends, and developing strategies to enhance the organization’s market presence. The Business Development Manager will oversee strategic initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. This role does involve direct sales aligned with a Sales incentive Plan that will be advantageous to the successful applicant.

  • Pipeline Management: actively update and grow the sales pipeline using CRM tools to ensure a steady flow of new customers and revenue.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform and refine business development strategies.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development plans that enhance market presence and drive sustainable growth.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Leverage competitive intelligence and market insights to define and prioritize growth strategies.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market shifts to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
  • Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills, with a track record of building and maintaining strategic relationships.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and align business development initiatives with broader organizational goals.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the satellite landscape, including trends, technologies, and competitive dynamics.

Work Environment

  • Location: Australia. This can be in office at one of our Australian offices or a remote
