Job Description
The Business Development Manager (fixed-term contract) is a pivotal strategic role focused on driving sustainable growth and unlocking new business opportunities across all business units (BUs) within the Group. The role is accountable for managing the opportunity pipeline, shaping compelling customer value propositions, leading high-impact negotiations, and building partnerships that maximize revenue and market presence. Strong emphasis is placed on cross-functional collaboration, successful execution of new initiatives, and adherence to governance and financial standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOpportunity Identification & Qualification
- Spearheading the identification, qualification, and prioritization of high-potential opportunities across all BUs to drive revenue growth and market expansion
- Developing, managing, and optimizing the Group’s business development pipeline
- Tracking opportunities from origination through to conversion while maximizing win rates
- Collaborating with BUs and internal stakeholders to accelerate deal closure
- Acting as the central liaison for complex, multi-BU opportunities
- Facilitating alignment, resource allocation, and seamless execution across stakeholders
- Designing compelling customer value propositions aligned to market needs
- Developing innovative business models and go-to-market strategies
- Identifying and structuring partnerships, channels, and growth enablers beyond individual BU scope
- Preparing robust, data-driven business cases for new initiatives
- Driving internal alignment and securing approvals in line with strategic objectives
- Leading negotiations with partners and stakeholders to secure optimal commercial outcomes
- Positioning the Group effectively within new and competitive markets
- Identifying synergies across BUs and integrating new opportunities into existing ecosystems
- Aligning new initiatives with current business models to enhance value and efficiency
- Ensuring alignment of marketing, distribution, and communication strategies with Group objectives
- Overseeing the development of campaigns that promote new initiatives while maintaining brand integrity
- Defining and monitoring service levels for business development activities
- Managing partner and service provider relationships, ensuring performance against agreed standards
- Establishing governance frameworks, financial controls, and reporting mechanisms
- Ensuring compliance with corporate standards and alignment with strategic priorities
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders, partners, and industry leaders
- Leveraging networks to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices
- Fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance
- Motivating and guiding teams across BUs to achieve strategic and commercial objectives
- Advanced degree in Business or a related field (required)
- MBA or equivalent (advantageous)
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, preferably within financial services
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving capability in complex environments
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions and lead multidisciplinary teams
- Strong financial acumen, including business case development and oversight
- Strong leadership capability with a focus on performance, innovation, and commercial outcomes
