About the Role:

We’re looking for a motivated and strategic Business Development professional to join our team in Athens. This is a hands-on role for someone with a strong “can-do” attitude who enjoys taking ownership, thrives in dynamic environments, and knows how to turn ideas into action.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of building and growing WeatherXM’s business relationships, driving strategic initiatives, and helping us explore new opportunities for value creation. You’ll work closely with our leadership team to shape partnerships, open new markets, and scale the impact of our network globally.

Responsibilities 

    • Client & Partner Development
      • Identify, engage, and manage relationships with strategic clients and ecosystem partners.
      • Lead business discussions, prepare proposals, and negotiate collaboration agreements.
      • Ensure partner success through proactive account management and performance tracking.
    • Growth Strategy & Execution
      • Drive selected business and partnership initiatives from concept to execution.
      • Collaborate cross-functionally (product, marketing, and operations) to align on objectives and deliverables.
      • Analyze performance metrics and provide insights to refine strategy and improve outcomes.
    • Market & Venture Exploration
      • Research and evaluate new business models, verticals, and revenue streams.
      • Support pilots and go-to-market experiments around innovative weather and data-based solutions.
      • Contribute to the design and validation of scalable commercial opportunities for WeatherXM.

Requirements
    • Background in business development, sales, or related roles is a must and should be supported by relevant studies or professional experience.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Mindset over credentials: proactive, resourceful, and eager to learn.
    • A team player who can operate independently and take ownership of tasks.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
    • Flexibility and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
  • Bonus points, if you have
    • Experience in agriculture, energy, logistics or impact investment sectors.
    • Previous involvement in a startup (founder, early team member, or business development role).
    • Familiarity with web3, decentralized networks, or DePIN ecosystems.
