Role Overview
We are looking for a revenue-driven Business Development Manager to grow CitySage’s commercial footprint across both public and private sectors.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. You will not only manage relationships and pipeline — you will actively source leads, drive meetings, prepare proposals, close deals, and coordinate commercial documentation.
The Business Development Manager will generate pipeline, close enterprise deals, manage strategic partners and align their respective solutions with CitySage’s offerings, and handle key commercial and legal activities such as pricing structuring, MSA/SOW coordination, PO management, and basic contract negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
• Actively source, prospect, and qualify new leads (public & private sector)
• Drive meetings, follow-ups, and negotiations through to deal closure

• Own and maintain enterprise sales pipeline
• Prepare proposals, pricing structures, and tender submissions
• Coordinate MSA, SOW, PO, and commercial documentation
• Manage and align partner solutions with CitySage offerings
• Build relationships with government agencies, GLCs, developers & enterprises
• Clearly articulate CitySage’s AI solutions and value proposition
• Maintain CRM discipline and reporting
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Urban Planning, Engineering, Technology, or related field
• MBA or relevant commercial/tech certifications is an advantage
Required Qualifications

• 3–6 years of B2B sales experience (public and/or private sector)
• Exposure to GovTech, Smart Cities, PropTech, SaaS, Infrastructure, or Technology solutions
• Experience handling proposals and/or government tenders
• Experience managing or contributing to partner programs (channel, ecosystem, or strategic alliances)
• Comfortable discussing AI, data, or digital transformation solutions
• Familiar with CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, etc.)
• Candidate must be able to understand, speak, and write in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin (Chinese) — native, bi/trilingual, or professional working proficiency


Compensation
The base pay range for this role is RM5,000 – RM6,000 per month.
