The Role

Antares is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive sales across our three core practice areas: Modern Work, Data & AI, and Application Development. This is a pure sales role focused on identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities (and some existing account management) by harnessing your knowledge of custom solutions built on Microsoft Technologies across these practices.

You'll be responsible for generating new client relationships and expanding existing ones, selling a broad portfolio of services including:

  • Modern Work – Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Copilot, intranet and collaboration solutions, employee experience, and change/adoption services.
  • Data & AI – Data platform modernisation, Azure data services, Fabric, Power BI, analytics, machine learning, and generative AI solutions.
  • Application Development – Custom software solutions, chatbots, generative AI applications, and systems integration services.

As part of the sales team, you will work closely with our delivery and technical teams across all three practices to ensure a seamless transition post-sale, but your primary focus will be sales and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development across Modern Work, Data & AI, and Application Development through proactive outreach, networking, and partner engagement (especially with Microsoft).
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified sales opportunities spanning all three practice areas.
  • Own the end-to-end sales process from prospecting to deal closure.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key business and IT decision-makers, positioning Antares' full portfolio of Microsoft-based solutions.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and practice leads to align client needs with Antares' capabilities across Modern Work, Data & AI, and Application Development.
  • Support account transition to the delivery team and ensure a smooth customer handover.
  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and recurring business opportunities within accounts, leveraging the breadth of Antares' service offerings.

About You

  • 3+ years' experience in business development or sales within the professional services or technology sector.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Solutions across one or more of the following areas:
    • Modern Work – Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Copilot, and employee experience solutions.
    • Data & AI – Azure data services, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, analytics, and AI/ML solutions.
    • Application Development – Azure, .NET, AI applications, chatbots, and systems integration services.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, outcome-driven, and comfortable working autonomously.
  • Excellent relationship builder with a hunter mindset.
  • Knowledge of our primary NSW/VIC markets and established industry networks is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience with Pre-Sales would also be desirable.

Skills Required
