Job Overview:
As a Business Development Manager, you will focus on generating new business opportunities and supporting the sales team by identifying prospective clients, building relationships, and scheduling meetings with decision-makers. This is a hunter-focused role designed for individuals who enjoy networking, prospecting, and creating new opportunities.
You will work closely with senior sales leaders, marketing, and technical teams to learn the sales process and develop the skills necessary for long-term success in technology sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential clients within small and mid-sized businesses.
- Conduct outbound prospecting extensive networking, through phone calls, emails and social platforms.
- Generate qualified sales leads for the Account Executive team.
- Schedule discovery meetings and introductory presentations with prospective customers.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospects and referral partners.
- Attend local networking and industry events to generate business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities within the CRM system.
- Collaborate with marketing on campaigns and lead generation initiatives.
- Learn and effectively communicate Aldridge's service offerings and value proposition.
- Meet or exceed monthly activity and opportunity-generation goals.
Required
- 3 plus years of sales, business development, or related experience.
- Proven experience in networking with high level executives and partners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and initiating conversations with prospects.
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Good knowledge of CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business productivity tools.
Preferred
- Experience in B2B sales, technology sales, or customer-facing roles.
- Understanding of IT services, cybersecurity, or cloud solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Hybrid work schedule
- Optional work from home days are Mondays and Fridays
- Required in-office days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
