About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented New Business Executive to join our dynamic Business Development team at Ashfield MedComms. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, client-focused environment, supporting the growth of a global medical communications consultancy within the Inizio Medical network.
You will work closely with the Business Development Director and wider Growth Team to identify new client opportunities, support outreach efforts, and contribute to the development of compelling pitch materials. This role offers excellent variety, challenge, and the opportunity to develop a strong foundation in business development and strategic communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Business Development Director to identify and research new client opportunities across key therapeutic areas.
  • Manage and execute LinkedIn outreach campaigns, including tracking responses and coordinating follow-ups.
  • Develop expertise in Power BI and other data platforms to extract, filter, and analyze data that informs strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach and engagement activities using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot).
  • Support the creation of pitch presentations and proposals, ensuring high-quality, visually engaging, and tailored content.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating account pipeline meetings, capturing key discussion points and actions.
  • Content development for, and coordination of, monthly business reports. Including, but not limited to, management updates and all-staff newsletters
  • Develop relationships with colleagues at all levels in AMC and Inizio, and grow your own internal network.
  • Represent AMC at industry and scientific meetings.
  • Partner and support Growth Team members across AMC US and Inizio Medical, as needed and directed by Business Development Director.

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in written and visual work.
  • Resilient and resourceful, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Comfortable working with data and digital tools, including application of AI; willingness to learn platforms like Power BI.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • A genuine interest in healthcare, communications, and business development.

Qualifications

  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Communications)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Experience with LinkedIn, CRM systems, or data tools is a plus but not essential
