Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Business Development Executive will drive new sales opportunities primarily through industry events, trade conferences and other networking efforts to cultivate customers and strategic partnerships within our industries as an early and integral part of our start-up, sales organization.

As Business Development Executive, you will be focused on networking, trade show prospecting and partner acquisition to develop clients and strategic alliances within the robotics, embedded, medical equipment, and IoT industries. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and driving client growth through new opportunities. Leveraging your experience and expertise in these industries, you will be responsible for helping to develop and execute strategies to maximize our exposure well as identifying and nurturing relationships with key strategic partners to drive the acquisition of new clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Trade Show Strategy and Execution:
    • Participate in developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy and tactics for optimal trade show results.
    • Identify, prioritize, and attend relevant trade shows and industry events aligned with our target markets and business objectives.
    • Utilize trade shows as platforms for networking, lead generation, and brand exposure.
  2. Networking and Relationship Building:
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key influencers, prospects, clients, and industry experts.
    • Proactively engage with prospects and partners to understand their needs and identify opportunities for collaboration.
    • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and other networking events, fostering connections and promoting our brand as a leader in robotics, embedded, medical equipment and IoT solutions.
  3. Strategic Partnerships:
    • Identify and evaluate potential strategic partners, including technology providers, industry associations, consultants, and complementary businesses.
    • Develop and nurture relationships with strategic partners, exploring opportunities for joint ventures, co-marketing initiatives, and other collaborative efforts to drive mutual growth and success.
    • Negotiate and manage partnership agreements and contracts, ensuring alignment with our business goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles within the robotics, embedded, medical equipment, or IoT industries.
  • Relevant experience with trade show dynamics, networking strategies, and partnership development best practices within these specialized markets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build rapport and influence industry stakeholders at all levels.
  • A results-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to attend industry trade shows, meetings, and events in the U.S.
  • Based in Northern California/Silicon Valley
