We are seeking a commercially minded Business Development Executive within the Captive Solutions team. This role will support the growth of Marsh’s captive consulting and related solutions business across Europe, helping to identify opportunities, develop client relationships and convert prospects into long-term captive consulting engagements.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development activities to identify and progress new captive solutions opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, intermediaries and internal Marsh stakeholders.
- Support sales activity from lead generation through to proposal development, presentation and negotiation.
- Work closely with captive consulting colleagues to shape client propositions that align with market needs and Marsh capabilities.
- Contribute to pipeline management, forecasting and reporting on activity, conversion and revenue outcomes.
- Represent Marsh at meetings, events and industry forums to enhance market visibility and brand presence.
- Support the broader team with market insight, client intelligence and commercial ideas that help drive growth.
What you need to have:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in captive insurance, broader insurance, or a closely related financial services environment.
- Prior sales or business development experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in captive consulting, captive management or captive advisory work would be highly beneficial.
- Strong understanding of the captive insurance market, client needs and commercial drivers
- Track record of working with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-makers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly and persuasively.
