Are you a powerhouse networker with deep roots in product innovation and development? Do you thrive on building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and driving growth across fast-moving, competitive environments? If your contact list includes R&D leaders, program directors, and executives at leading brands and high-growth companies and you know how to turn complex conversations into lasting partnerships, we want to talk to you.

As our lead Business Development Director, you’ll be the bridge between our world-class teams and the organizations driving innovation forward. If you love the thrill of the hunt, the satisfaction of a closed deal, and the impact of seeing transformative products come to life in the market, this is your stage.

Responsibilities

– Identify and Pursue New Opportunities: Build and nurture a robust pipeline of prospects across our focus area industries. Proactively engage with R&D, innovation, product, and business leaders to uncover opportunities across the product lifecycle.

– Expand Strategic Relationships Within Existing Accounts: Deepen engagement with our current clients by identifying new buying centers to target, nurture, and close.

– Lead Complex Sales Efforts: Own the sales process from prospecting and qualification through proposal - navigating the intricacies of regulated product development and multi-stakeholder decision cycles.

– Market and Clinical Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry shifts, emerging technologies, and evolving requirements. Use these insights to shape client conversations and ensure our strategies align with market needs.

– Collaborate Across Disciplines: Partner closely with internal teams to ensure proposals reflect our end-to-end capabilities and deliver client success.

– Represent Delve: Serve as a visible ambassador for our brand - representing Delve at key industry events, conferences, and client meetings to showcase our expertise and reinforce our position as a leader in product development innovation.

– Forecast and Report: Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts, track key performance metrics, and contribute to regular business reviews to drive data-informed growth decisions.

– Act as a Strategic Advisor: Help clients navigate complex product development challenges, balancing technical feasibility, user needs, regulatory constraints, and business goals.

– Cultivate Strategic Partnerships: Identify and engage complementary partners to expand solution offerings and drive holistic client success.

Requirements

– Proven track record of success in business development roles within the medical device, diagnostics, or connected health sectors, ideally with a focus on complex, regulated product design and development.

– Established network of client-side contacts with demonstrated success in building trusted relationships at the decision-maker and budget-holder level.

– Experience growing existing accounts by identifying new business units to target and aligning Delve’s capabilities to client needs.

– Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity into compelling business value.

– Strategic and hands-on: able to think at the portfolio level while diving into the details of opportunities, proposals, and client engagements,

– Self-motivated, accountable, and results-driven, with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, consultative environment.
