As Business Developer you will play a crucial role in building our commercial pipeline. You acquire new projects to enable company growth by securing company funding, develop valuable innovation programs, and establish long-lasting & valuable partnerships, incl. through grant funding applications and support with commercial company documentation.

You will be part of Oceans of Energies’ talented team of professionals. You will be the main point of contact for our customers; you get to interact with them one-on-one, in person, at exhibitions, demos or other occasions. This allows you to analyze their needs and offer them the best possible solutions. That is because you understand all relevant details of the customer’s process.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Identify commercial opportunities, build good relationships with potential clients worldwide

  • Offer our offering to potential clients worldwide

  • Develop and improve our offering

  • Support the Sales Director in commercial negotiations

  • Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to the executive team

  • Lead and Contribute to OOE funding applications (incl. tenders)

  • Support with company marketing materials / company profile activity

Qualifications and Skills

  • A bachelor's degree in international business, business administration, innovation, and entrepreneurship (surprise us if you have a different background!)

  • Results orientation: setting clear goals and monitoring progress to ensure that the set goals are achieved

  • Commercial skills: the ability to identify new business opportunities and close successful deals

  • Communication Skills: excellent communication skills to build relationships with customers, partners and colleagues

  • Analytical skills: the ability to analyze market trends and use data to make strategic decisions

  • Persuasiveness: the ability to convince others of new ideas and plans

  • Creativity and Innovation: the ability to come up with new and innovative solutions to address business challenges

  • Team player: the ability to work effectively with different teams within the organization
