GC Solar is looking for a driven and results-oriented Business
Developer to join our expanding team in either our Johannesburg head office
or Cape Town branch. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for
identifying new business opportunities, nurturing strategic relationships, and
driving revenue growth within the renewable energy and electrical
infrastructure sectors.

distributor with offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town. We supply cutting-edge
renewable energy solutions, backed by expert technical support and a commitment
to sustainability. Our clients include commercial developers, engineers,
utility providers, and key players in the infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Identify
and engage prospective clients across targeted sectors.
- Develop
and implement strategies to open new markets and drive revenue growth.
- Maintain
a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build
strong relationships with contractors, consultants, developers, and
strategic partners.
- Attend
industry events, expos, and client meetings to promote GC Solar’s value
proposition.
Sales Strategy & Market Expansion
- Conduct
market analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate
with internal teams to align product offerings with market demands.
- Achieve
or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Reporting & CRM
- Maintain
accurate records of interactions, leads, and conversions using our CRM
system.
- Provide
regular reports on sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline development.
Requirements

Qualifications
- National
Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum
2 years in a business development or B2B sales role.
- Experience
in the renewable energy, solar, or electrical industry is highly
advantageous.
Skills
- Strong
negotiation and networking abilities.
- Excellent
communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated,
with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strategic
thinker with a commercial mindset.
Additional Requirements
- Valid
driver’s license and own vehicle.
- Willingness
to travel between branches and to client sites nationally.
- Flexibility
to attend after-hours events when required.
