Join us and experience a flexible, supportive environment where your well-being is prioritized and your potential can thrive.
The Role
This is a new-business role for Dutch manufacturing and adjacent sectors. You will build relationships with leading manufacturers across the value chain, understand where technology is limiting their growth and shape the early stages of large, multi-year Kyndryl engagements.
You will present Kyndryl's full portfolio, work alongside senior client leaders, and pass well-qualified opportunities to our subject matter experts and Customer Technology Advisors to close, staying involved to keep momentum with the client. This work matters. The organisations you partner with keep essential parts of Dutch business and daily life running, and the engagements you open help them modernise, stay secure and grow.
This is a rare chance to build something significant. Kyndryl in the Netherlands is at an early and ambitious stage of growth, and this role gives you genuine room to shape a market, create lasting client relationships and make a visible mark on the business. It will suit someone with ambition and drive who wants real ownership and the opportunity to build something they can be proud of.
Kyndryl is a global organisation with serious weight behind it, and this role is about turning that into impact in the Dutch market. You will have the reach of a global business and the freedom to act like a much smaller one.
What you'll do
- Form a clear, credible point of view on the main technology challenges in manufacturing, smart factory, OT/IT convergence and supply-chain resilience, and use it to open genuine conversations with new clients.
- Identify and develop new-logo opportunities within large enterprises.
- Take opportunities through the early cycle end to end, identify, shape and help close the last mile, including discovery, qualification and value definition.
- Build and keep trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, up to CIO and business-leader level.
- Translate client problems into clear, differentiated proposals through a consultative approach.
- Build and defend sound business cases using financial and value models (ROI, TCO, business impact).
- Keep an accurate, well-managed pipeline and a reliable forecast.
- Work closely with solution architects, subject matter experts, delivery colleagues and partners to shape solutions.
- Draw on the partner ecosystem, cloud, infrastructure and technology partners, to strengthen your proposition.
- Contribute to proposals and support commercial discussions and negotiations alongside the deal team.
- Hand over qualified opportunities cleanly, while keeping continuity with the client.
What success looks like
- In your first 3 months: a solid grasp of Kyndryl's portfolio and a qualified list of target manufacturing and adjacent accounts in the Netherlands.
- By 6 months: an active, accurately forecast pipeline of net-new opportunities.
- By 12 months: two or more initial engagements won and handed to delivery, each with a clear path to grow.
Who You Are
Who you are
- Direct experience developing new client relationships and winning new business in manufacturing and adjacent sectors. You understand how these organisations make buying decisions, the operational pressures they face, production continuity, OT/IT convergence and supply-chain resilience, and how to earn credibility with them quickly.
- 8–12+ years in enterprise business development and complex, consultative deal-making, in IT services or consulting, and relevant to Kyndryl's portfolio.
- Proven track record in business development and winning complex, multi-year engagements with large enterprises.
- Experience of working inside a large multinational or major service provider, and genuine comfort operating in a matrix. This is not a role for someone used only to a small organisation.
- Established, relevant network in manufacturing or adjacent sectors (need to check any non-compete obligations).
- The full commercial range: the ability to identify, shape and close, not only to work the early stages.
- Comfortable working to clear commercial targets in a fast-moving, results-focused environment.
- Commercial and financial judgement, with the ability to build and defend value-based business cases (ROI, TCO, business impact).
- Experience of multi-stakeholder, long-cycle opportunities.
- The confidence to engage senior stakeholders and adapt your message to different audiences.
- Sound understanding of the technology landscape, hybrid infrastructure, cloud and cloud migration, security, IT and application modernisation, and managed-services transformation.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to build structure where little exists.
- A proactive team player. You enjoy the work and the people, you bring colleagues with you, and you are good company on a long deal.
- Entrepreneurial. You spot the opening and act on it rather than waiting for a plan.
- Fluent English; additional languages, particularly Dutch, are an advantage.
What we offer
- A competitive salary with a performance incentive tied to your results, plus a full benefits package.
- Hybrid working, based at our Hoofddorp office, with flexibility.
- The backing of Kyndryl's global delivery and subject matter expertise teams, and the technology partner ecosystem.
- Clear room to grow. This role can develop toward senior client leadership or wider market ownership as Kyndryl scales in the Netherlands.
