Job Title : Business Analyst – Data & Analytics Practice
Location : Bangalore/ Hyderabad India
Department : Enterprise Architecture & Engineering
Reports To : Sr. Manager - Data & Analytics Practice

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Analyst to join our Data and Analytics Practice. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and data-driven solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver insights that inform strategic decisions. You will be instrumental in driving value from data through analysis, visualization, and storytelling.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities-

1.Requirement Gathering - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements related to data, reporting, and analytics.

2.Business Process mapping - Translate business problems into analytical questions and identify data sources needed to support analysis.

3.Data Analysis - Perform data exploration, validation, and transformation to prepare datasets for analysis.

4.Data Visualization - Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

5.Story Telling - Generate actionable insights and present findings to stakeholders through compelling data stories.

6.Collaboration with Data Team - Work with data engineers and architects to define data pipelines and ensure data quality and integrity. Contribute to the development and evolution of best practices within the analytics team.

7.Manage and run Story Board - Support the development of KPIs, metrics, and business performance frameworks.

Required Qualifications:

1.Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)

2.2-5 years of experience in a business analytics, data analytics, or BI role.

3.Proficiency in SQL and at least one analytics/visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).

4.Strong Excel and data manipulation skills: experience with Python/R is a plus.

5.Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.

6.Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

1.Experience working in cloud-based data environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

2.Familiarity with data modeling concepts and tools like dbt, Snowflake, or BigQuery.

3.Exposure to predictive modeling or statistical techniques.

4.Domain expertise in (Finance-AP/AR/GL/Profitability, Billing, Sales, Service, Marketing, etc.] is a plus.
