As a Business Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth and efficient functioning of the dental practice’s administrative and business operations. You will help create an exceptional patient experience while supporting the front office, coordinating patient interactions, and contributing to the overall success of the dental practice.
Responsibilities- Greet patients and create a welcoming, positive experience
- Manage incoming calls and schedule patient appointments
- Manage the daily schedule and support efficient patient flow
- Verify insurance benefits and explain coverage to patients
- Process payments, copays, and outstanding balances
- Provide patients with accurate treatment cost estimates and financial information
- Assist with billing, coding, and insurance claim submissions
- Communicate treatment plans and financial information clearly and professionally
- Address and resolve patient questions and concerns professionally, escalating to the Office Manager when appropriate
- Order and restock office supplies as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Work closely with the dental team to ensure smooth and efficient patient care
- Support additional administrative and operational needs of the practice as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Business or administrative experience in a dental office preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Comfortable learning and utilizing dental practice management systems and office software
