Summary: As a Business Architect, you will engage in a dynamic environment where you will identify opportunities to deliver tangible business value. Your typical day will involve assessing the current state of business operations, capturing high-level requirements, and defining innovative business solutions. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to translate business needs into technology-enabled solutions and operating models. Additionally, you will support transformation initiatives by developing comprehensive business cases and guiding the implementation of key projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and foster collaboration among stakeholders. - Analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Data Analytics. - Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights. - Experience with data visualization tools to present findings effectively. - Ability to develop and implement data-driven strategies that align with business objectives. - Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques to support decision-making. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Data Analytics. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required. Experience: 5-10 years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, enterprise reporting, and visualization, with strong exposure to client-facing analytics delivery. Proven experience in leading BI initiatives, advanced SQL and data modeling, modern visualization platforms, and mentoring small teams of BI or reporting developers. Experience in retail or consumer-focused analytics environments is highly preferred. Job Summary We are seeking a Senior BI / Reporting Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of modern, scalable reporting and analytics solutions for Blue Mercury. This role requires strong technical expertise, client-facing leadership, and the ability to guide a small team while translating complex business requirements into cost-effective, high-impact analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on BI expertise with solution leadership, ensuring reporting platforms align with both immediate business needs and long-term analytics strategy. Key Responsibilities Technical & Solution Leadership Interpret functional and business designs, providing technical leadership on reporting architecture, development standards, and BI best practices Design and present modernized, scalable reporting and analytics solutions that address complex business needs in a cost-effective manner Provide hands-on expertise in advanced SQL, data modeling, and analytics-oriented data structures Ensure reporting solutions are performant, scalable, and reusable across business use cases Client & Stakeholder Engagement Lead client-facing technical requirements gathering sessions and solution review meetings, with availability up to noon Eastern Time Act as a trusted analytics advisor to business stakeholders, translating functional objectives into robust technical solutions Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align reporting deliverables with business priorities and long-term analytics roadmap Team Leadership & Delivery Provide technical oversight and mentorship to a team of 2–3 BI / reporting developers Ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery of reporting assets Review designs and deliverables, providing constructive feedback and improvement recommendations Governance & Best Practices Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and reporting standards Identify opportunities to improve performance, usability, and cost efficiency within existing reporting solutions Maintain clear documentation of reporting logic, data definitions, and BI artifacts Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills (Must Have) Strong ability to translate functional designs into scalable technical BI solutions Proven experience leading client-facing technical discussions, gathering requirements, and solution reviews Advanced expertise in data visualization and SQL Hands-on experience with BI tools, with Tableau preferred: o Tableau o Power BI or Qlik o Looker Strong experience in relational data modeling and analytics-focused data structures Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring or managing small BI or reporting teams Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice to Have) Ability to provide high-level feedback on functional designs, identifying opportunities to improve business value, performance, or cost efficiency Experience with cloud-based BI and semantic layer platforms, such as: o Looker o AtScale (highly desirable) Exposure to, or working knowledge of: o Snowflake o Python o ETL processes o Oracle MFCS o Power BI Familiarity with retail industry concepts, including: o Product analytics o Supply chain o Merchandising o E-commerce analytics
