Moore Colson is looking for dynamic Business and Financial Advisory Manager to join our Business and Financial Advisory team in Atlanta. Our corporate accounting team works closely with our clients to provide flexible and scalable accounting support and business consulting to launch businesses to the next phase of growth. This includes managing weekly, monthly and annual accounting close services and bookkeeping, software implementation, or design of management reporting just to name a few.

Key Responsibilities:
- Managing projects including weekly, monthly, and year-end close processes, management reporting and preparing reconciliations.
- Maintaining fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Designing, implementing, and/or converting systems for clients.
- Calculating and reporting indirect taxes
- Helping clients prepare cash flow and our financial projections
- Assisting clients with payroll processing and 1099 preparation
- Advising clients on both tactical and strategic financial decisions
- Troubleshooting client issues as they arise
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, CPA considered a plus
- 4 to 6 years of well-rounded accounting experience in the Professional Services industry with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- Proficient with QuickBooks Desktop or Online and Excel
- Hands-on experience with the month-end accounting and close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and drafting management reports (balance sheet, income statement, cash flows, and other analytical reports
- Some accounting experience within real estate, manufacturing, distribution, or construction a must
- Ability to travel to client locations within the Atlanta area as needed
- Experience with payroll processing and related tax compliance is a plus
- Experience preparing Sales & Use Tax returns is a plus
- Familiarity with financial statement compilations is desired
- Prior experience serving clients in a professional services environment is a plus
- Experience using the following software is a plus: Quickbooks Online, Sage 50 (Peachtree), Sage 100 (Master Builder), Sage 300 (Timberline), Sys pro, SAP Business One, fixed asset software, ProSystems Fx Engagement.
