Job Description

Responsibilities 

  • Elicit requirements from business units and other stakeholders 
  • Write requirements that are simple, clear, and concise 
  • Decompose high level requirements into functional requirements working with the development team 
  • Facilitate and lead in prioritization of requirements 
  • Facilitation of feasibility discussions with Development/Testing/Architecture teams 
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to communicate information effectively to customers and staff

Additional Information

Required skills Overall: 

  • SCRUM MASTER/BA or PM/BA Candidates need not apply 
  • 5+ years’ demonstrable experience in a formal SDLC environment (Dev, Test, Prod). 
  • Completed at least 3 full lifecycle (define, build, test, accept, deploy and support) development projects of medium to high level of complexity in which candidate led, represented and was accountable for all project’s business requirements responsibilities. 
  • Comfortable in environments where there is domain knowledge ambiguity. 
  • Self-reliant and able to independently acquire the appropriate level of domain knowledge in order to deliver actionable requirement artifacts. 

Methodologies: 

  • 5-8 years’ combined experience in waterfall and agile environments. 
  • Fluent in agile concepts and terminology (SCRUM, Kanban, epics, story boards, etc.). 

Business / Systems Analysis: 

  • 5-8 years demonstrable experience in requirements gathering and management in use case and story formats. 
  • 5-8 years’ demonstrable in business process mapping (“As-Is” and “To-Be”). 
  • 3-5 years’ experience with web application screen mock-up and requirements. 
  • 3+ years’ demonstrable experience with SQL and data analysis in MS SQL Server or Oracle environments. 
  • Knowledgeable of Object Oriented (OO) Development Concepts 

Testing 

  • 3+ years’ experience in application testing - test case and test script creation; defect documentation and management. 

Tools & Technologies 

  • Fluent in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Visio. 
  • Experience using tools such as SQL server management studio, TOAD, and SQLPlus. 
  • 3+ years’ experience using requirements management repository tools (e.g. Rally Dev, Jira, DOORS) 

Desired (optional) skills 

  • Experience with B2B e-Commerce 
  • Experience in Healthcare vertical 
  • Experience working in .NET Environments 
  • Experience with mock-up / prototyping tools (e.g. Axure).

Work Environment

  • Team environment; 4. NET, 1 QA, 1 BA
