The project

TECKpert seeks to hire a Business Analyst to support our client, a state government agency in Tallahassee, FL. The role provides technical analysis for the AASHTOWare product suite, supporting configuration, implementation, and integration activities. The analyst will serve as the liaison between the business office and the AASHTOWare product team, translating complex business needs into technical requirements, supporting full product lifecycle delivery, and ensuring alignment of business priorities with technical feasibility for upgrades, enhancements, and product implementations.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the delivery of software-based products and system enhancements throughout the full lifecycle, from planning through implementation and stabilization.
  • Facilitate collaboration among business users, technical development teams, product owners, and enterprise architecture to ensure solutions align with functional needs and technical standards.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of product roadmaps and release schedules, including coordination of upgrade timelines, enhancement priorities, and project delivery milestones.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable development tasks, clarify scope and acceptance criteria, and monitor progress through each stage of the development cycle.
  • Serve as a liaison with end users and product partners, addressing questions related to integrations, custom development needs, issue resolution, and post-deployment support.
  • Support solution evaluation activities including prototyping, technical feasibility reviews, user validation, and testing efforts.
  • Analyze current AASHTOWare customizations for compatibility and potential migration into the AASHTOWare SaaS product suite.
  • Prepare technical responses, impact assessments, and solution recommendations.
Compensation and Term

This opportunity is for a full-time position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $124,800 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Candidates are expected to work onsite at our client's location.

Qualifications you need

A successful candidate possesses or provides the following:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may substitute.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT product development, engineering, or project delivery.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading cross-functional teams through complex product or technology solution delivery in a high-tech or government environment.
  • Experience coordinating software or system integration activities and ensuring post-deployment support and readiness.
  • Preferred: Experience with the configuration, implementation, or integration of the AASHTOWare product suite.
  • Familiarity with Agile and iterative delivery methods, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
  • Knowledge of system development methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including conveying product functionality, performance metrics, and delivery progress to business owners and leadership.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Highly desired: Experience with SharePoint 365, ServiceNow, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft DevOps, and collaborative product planning tools.
  • Ability to conduct business analysis, process modeling, and as-is/to-be documentation using MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and SmartDraw.
  • Knowledge of compliance, accessibility, and security alignment with statewide enterprise standards (ADA, Florida IT rules 60GG-1 to 60GG-5).
  • Experience working with government procurement and IT project governance is desirable.
