Verisk is seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Analyst/ Senior Business Analyst to join our product development team. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver innovative solutions for the insurance industry. You will play a key role in requirements analysis, process improvement, stakeholder management, and successful project delivery.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
- Analyze data and business processes to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Create and maintain business requirement documents, process flows, use cases, and related project documentation.
- Serve as a liaison between business and technology teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate solutions against business requirements.
- Drive process optimization initiatives and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Participate in project planning, risk assessment, and change management activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of Business Analysis experience, preferably in Life Insurance implementations.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and process analysis.
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of Excel, SQL, and data analysis techniques.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with process modeling methodologies (BPMN or similar).
- Exposure to data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Relevant Business Analysis certifications are an added advantage.
- Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory.
