As a Business Analyst, you will bridge the gap between internal teams and development, helping to launch global promotions for some of the world's biggest and most loved brands.
Your understanding of gamification and sweepstakes will be instrumental in ensuring that creative vision translates into innovative digital experiences that are consumed and played by millions every day.
This role will define business requirements for technical, data driven solutions, including business intelligence, reporting, and analytics. You will also be responsible for writing documents used for technical specifications and to manage the projects for scope creep
The requirements you identify and document will be crucial to building client initiatives, forming the backbone of all historical work done by the agency.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION
The BA will work closely with Account Management, Development and Project Management teams to help create competitive features for our solutions and identify and manage scope creep.

  • Assist in eliciting and defining requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business rules analysis, metrics & KPI definition, use cases, and other BA tools and techniques as required
  • Work with the Account Management, Strategy, and Executive Leadership teams and our clients to identify and develop business requirements for new and existing technical projects with supervision from Sr. Manager
  • Collaborate with Development/Testing/Support teams, as well as SMEs to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal partners under guidance of management to analyze information needs for functional requirements
  • Identify and communicate potential process gaps to Lead / Manager for review/remediation
  • Facilitate the Quality Assurance (QA) team in writing test cases for solution validation
  • Act as the liaison between clients, business units, technology teams and support teams
  • Ensure documentation on the product stays relevant and requirements are detailed enough to manage assumptions, risks, and out-of-scope situations


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE

  • 3+ years' experience working on data-driven or software/application/web-based projects, or in the marketing and communications field as a BA working with technical solutions
  • ECBA, CCBA or CBAP or other certificate related to Business Analysis preferred
  • Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into functional and non-functional requirements
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, waterfall and agile project frameworks
  • Highly organized and comfortable working in fast-paced environments with quick turnaround times and shifting priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate and build relationships with diverse groups including clients, executives, managers, and SMEs, as well as steer decisions and articulate solutions
  • Strong interview and facilitation skills to gather requirements from other lines of business
  • Inquisitive nature, comfortable and confident with voicing and discussing important information
  • Ability to function independently with supervision and mentorship from Lead / Manager
  • Ability to work alongside partners with differing priorities to reach consensus on requirements, raising to Lead / Manager when needed
  • Comfortable with navigating ambiguity and simplifying complex situations
  • Ability to write clear yet concise requirements with an emphasis of quality over quantity
  • Understanding of concepts related to data architecture and relational database design
  • Proficient in translating/capturing requirements as actionable work items via task management tools such as Jira/Azure DevOps/Monday/Trello
  • Experience in designing complex data-driven applications & reports
  • Able to work with User Interface elements to develop mockups, wireframes and functional specifications/annotations
  • Proficient with MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio
