The Role

Allwyn North America is headquartered in Chicago. It currently operates the Illinois Lottery under a private management agreement while seeking other opportunities throughout the U.S. We also provide products and services to lotteries and their players throughout Europe and the United States.
About the Team:
The Technology team utilizes the latest technological trends to effectively build and manage solutions in an informal, open, collaborative, and fast-paced environment.
Position Overview:
Within Allwyn North America, the Business Analyst will be responsible for performing business process and software requirements analysis.
Responsibilities:

  • Prepare requirements to plan, and manage the overall requirements phase, including stakeholders and third-party suppliers
  • Perform business process and software requirements analysis on large and commercially important projects
  • Perform research and analysis and provide subject matter expertise on technology trends for key capabilities
  • Analyze products, suppliers, and competitors, and advise on which actions to take
  • Possess a variety of analysis techniques that can be adapted to suit different projects and customers
  • Define the logical architecture for large product development and implementations
  • Independently coordinate and facilitate business information discussions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Consult and advise Allwyn Illinois on a variety of internal and external business systems-related topics
  • Identify business opportunities and product features for Allwyn Illinois's products, and work with a development team to deliver feature-rich solutions.
  • Independently analyze and craft execution plans to delegate problems, issues, and escalations
  • Ensure all governance documents about the requirements phase are in place
  • Support audits as needed
  • Supplier management and oversight as needed
  • Work directly with different workstream leaders to drive the successful completion of efforts
  • Contribute towards business analysis process improvements


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A proven background in working on software development projects in a requirements analysis role
  • Knowledge and experience with core technology and infrastructure capabilities (Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), application development and management, and innovation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong facilitation skills and management of a variety of stakeholders (third-party suppliers, business stakeholders)
  • Ability to take a project from inception (idea stage) to detailed requirements and organize a plan to deliver the final working solution.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and manage several deliverables simultaneously with stakeholders. Proactive and results-oriented is a must.
  • Ability to articulate examples of large multiple system implementation projects in a customer environment
  • Experience in working on multiple and varied projects, delivering a variety of software applications, with lottery or gaming experience being an advantage
  • Proficient understanding of software/application architecture and design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in the lottery or gaming industry is a plus
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
