Business Analyst / QA Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst / QA Analyst with 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, software testing, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams by translating business requirements into clear functional specifications and ensuring that delivered solutions meet business and quality expectations.

The candidate will participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, test planning, functional testing, defect management, user acceptance testing, and production validation.

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders.
  
• Conduct requirement-gathering sessions, interviews, and process discussions with business users.
  
• Translate business requirements into detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  
• Create process flows, workflow diagrams, use cases, and functional specifications.
  
• Work closely with developers, QA teams, product owners, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
  
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.
  
• Clarify requirements and provide functional guidance to development and QA teams.
  
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate with business users.
  

• Develop and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts based on business and functional requirements.
  
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
  
• Validate application functionality against approved requirements and acceptance criteria.
  
• Identify, document, track, and manage defects through resolution.
  
• Perform defect analysis and work with development teams to reproduce and resolve issues.
  
• Conduct regression testing following application fixes and enhancements.
  
• Support UAT activities and coordinate with business stakeholders.
  
• Validate data and system outputs against expected business results.
  
• Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing status, risks, and issues.
  

• Work closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Developers, QA Engineers, and business stakeholders.
  
• Maintain clear documentation of requirements, test cases, defects, and testing results.
  
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on functional and technical solutions.
  
• Support release validation and post-production verification.
  
• Assist with root-cause analysis and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  

• 3–5 years of experience in Business Analysis, QA, Software Testing, or a combined BA/QA role.
  
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  
• Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
  
• Strong experience creating test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
  
• Hands-on experience with functional and regression testing.
  
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  

• Business Analysis: BRD, FRD, User Stories, Use Cases, Acceptance Criteria, Process Flows
  
• Testing: Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, UAT
  
• Defect Management: Defect identification, tracking, triage, and resolution
  
• Databases: Basic to intermediate SQL for data validation and testing
  
• Tools: Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile/project management tools
  
• Methodologies: Agile/Scrum and Waterfall
  
• Understanding of APIs and basic API testing is preferred.
  
• Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools is a plus.
  

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  
• Experience with SQL and database validation.
  
• Knowledge of REST APIs and web services.
  
• Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.
  
• Experience in healthcare, financial services, government, or other regulated industries is a plus.
