About this Position

Primerica is seeking a Business Analyst Intern. The Intern will contribute to digital form‑modernization initiatives by converting legacy, form‑based processes into updated digital workflows using Smart Communications technologies. This includes assisting with the creation and configuration of SmartIQ data‑capture forms and participating in citizen‑development activities within established governance standards. The role involves reviewing legacy form logic, translating requirements into modern digital configurations, and supporting testing and validation tasks. The intern will collaborate closely with Product Owners, developers, and subject‑matter experts to ensure solutions meet usability, accuracy, and compliance expectations.
Salary range is $18–$22 per hour, depending on the student’s undergraduate level. Salary ranges for graduate students may vary.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Discovery, Requirements Gathering & Documentation
  • Analyze legacy forms, workflows, and business needs; capture requirements; and document current‑state logic and data relationships to support modernization efforts.
  • Digital Form Development & Configuration
  • Assist in building and configuring modern data‑capture forms (e.g., SmartIQ) and participate in governed citizen‑development activities to translate requirements into functional digital solutions.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Develop and execute test cases to validate form logic, data flow, usability, and accuracy; log issues; and collaborate with team members to support iterative improvements.
  • Project Documentation & Knowledge Support
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining documentation such as configuration notes, process diagrams, versioning details, and best‑practice guidance to ensure project consistency and future reusability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing a 2‑year or 4‑year degree.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret business requirements and understand form logic.
  • Familiarity with common productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, particularly for documenting findings, asking clarifying questions, and sharing updates.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team in a structured project environment.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies, including low‑code and citizen‑development tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with low‑code or citizen‑development platforms (e.g., SmartIQ, Power Apps, or DocuSign).
  • Understanding of digital form design, data structures, or workflow concepts gained through coursework or project experience.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies or team‑based project work (e.g., class projects, student organizations, or prior internships).
  • Experience conducting testing, validating logic, or reviewing work for accuracy and usability.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when working with structured data or documenting processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project requirements.
