The Position
This role analyzes user requirements and designs new IT application solutions and/or enhancements to existing application solutions in meeting new business needs and in solving business problems. This role possesses and applies a broad range of expertise of principles, methods, practices, standards, procedures and compliance requirements of the business function in designing and developing IT solutions. In the support role of existing systems, this role provides knowledge, testing, documentation, Service Level management reporting. This role will liaison with operations and other support groups regarding system use, and interfaces with business users in understanding and providing resolutions to the system related issues and discrepancies.
Relationships
As the Business Analyst reporting to the Lead of the Digital Solutions Team, your role centers on engaging with key stakeholders through in-depth interviews and workshops, culminating in a comprehensive understanding of the business's needs and challenges. You will be responsible for documenting current state process flows, gathering artifacts, and facilitating decision-making regarding automation initiatives. This critical role ensures that digital solutions align with business objectives and address operational pain points effectively.
Essential Functions
- Anticipated Business Value Determination: Assess and determine the anticipated business value of digital solutions, aligning them with strategic business objectives and operational requirements
- Stakeholder Engagement and Interviews: Conduct interviews and workshops with key stakeholders and process subject matter experts to gather insights, understand business needs, and identify pain points
- Business Needs Analysis: Develop a deep understanding of the business's requirements, challenges, and pain points, translating them into clear and actionable technical specifications for digital solutions
- Process Flow Documentation: Document current state process flows, gather artifacts, and validate understanding with process subject matter experts to inform solution development
- Decision Facilitation: Receive and facilitate go/no-go decisions on automation initiatives, presenting analysis and insights to support informed decision-making aligned with business objectives
- Collaborative Solution Development: Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and other team members to ensure that business needs are accurately translated into technical requirements, contributing to effective and impactful digital solutions
- Communication and Feedback Gathering: Communicate closely with process subject matter experts, gathering feedback and ensuring that proposed solutions effectively address operational inefficiencies and align with business requirements
- Operational Efficiency Alignment: Ensure that digital solutions align with operational requirements, addressing pain points and enhancing overall business efficiency

Qualifications
- Education Level:
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field required. Relevant experience may be substituted when appropriate
- Experience Level:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Computer Science, IT, programming/systems analysis or other related experience required
