Responsibilities :

JOB SUMMARY:

The business analyst reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. The role identifies problems and opportunities within the company and provides solutions that help achieve business goals. Additionally, the business analyst develops and monitors data quality metrics to ensure that business data and reporting needs are met.

The business analyst also assists with the implementation and support of business information systems within the organization. This role involves collaborating with business and IT teams to develop initiatives and strategies that optimize costs and improve both internal and external reporting.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and maintain essential reports to support the Finance, Accounting, and Record-to-Report teams, sustaining continuous improvement in their areas by providing historical data trends, volume analysis, visual representations of KPIs, and business insights.
  • Understand the operational objectives of business functions by gathering information, evaluating output requirements, and identifying appropriate formats.
  • Assist in documenting business use cases by constructing workflow charts, analyzing system capabilities and current practices, writing specifications, and designing modifications for enhancements.
  • Interpret, evaluate, and interrelate research data to develop integrated business analyses for strategic decision-making.
  • Create informative, actionable, and repeatable reports that highlight relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain user confidence and protect business interests by ensuring confidentiality and providing accurate access to information.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to leverage solutions that enable decision-makers to use an intuitive, interactive, self-service environment to monitor results, predict outcomes, and drive action plans for optimal business performance.
  • Translate business requirements into BI solutions and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights.
  • Create dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts, and perform detailed analytics.
  • Drive automation and predictive analytics use cases using Microsoft Power Platform or other related tools.

COMPETENCY REQUIRED:

  • Analytics Modeling
  • Data Processing (ETL, Data Cleansing)
  • Business Acumen - Background in Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Record to Report is a plus.
  • Tools and System Proficiency (Excel, SQL, SAP, Power BI, Power Query, DAX, Microsoft apps)
  • Communication Proficiency
  • Project Management
  • Relationship Management
