Business Analyst – Finance & Risk Data Ecosystem

As a Business Analyst you will play a key role in driving the evolution of Finance and Risk data ecosystems. Working in a global Agile environment, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business needs are accurately translated into scalable, high-quality solutions.

This position is part of a strategic transformation program focused on modernizing data management capabilities through technologies such as APIs, Data Virtualization, and enhanced integration frameworks. The objective is to improve data accessibility, consistency, and quality across multiple reference data sources, enabling faster decision-making and more reliable reporting.

You will manage the full requirements lifecycle, from analysis and specification through testing and deployment, collaborating closely with business users, developers, and project stakeholders to deliver effective and impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings.
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with business objectives and MVP delivery.

Process Analysis & Continuous Improvement

• Analyze current ("As-Is") processes and design optimized future-state ("To-Be") workflows.
• Identify inefficiencies, data quality issues, and opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Support business transformation initiatives aimed at increasing operational efficiency and reducing time-to-market.

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary liaison between business areas and development teams.
• Facilitate communication across functional and technical teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Present business requirements, solution proposals, and project updates to various stakeholder groups.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Define test strategies and prepare Integration System Testing (IST), Functional Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios.
• Validate solutions against business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Manage defect tracking and resolution using tools such as ALM Octane and Jira.
• Support end users throughout testing and implementation phases.

Data & Integration Analysis

• Analyze complex data flows and system integrations across multiple platforms.
• Investigate data inconsistencies and perform root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to initiatives focused on improving data governance, quality, and consistency across reference data domains.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, and process modeling (BPMN, UML, User Stories, Use Cases).
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, including backlog management, sprint planning, and prioritization techniques.
• Experience designing and executing Integration Testing, Functional Testing, and UAT.
• Knowledge of APIs, system integrations, data flows, and data virtualization concepts.
• Familiarity with data management, reference data, and data quality analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and ALM Octane.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst within an IT environment.
• Experience working with reference data, data management, or database-related projects.
• Experience in Finance, Risk, Banking, or highly regulated environments is a plus.

Languages

• English (minimum B2 level) – mandatory.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Financial Services or Banking environments.
• Exposure to data governance, data lineage, or master/reference data initiatives.
• Knowledge of API ecosystems and modern data architecture concepts.
• Experience working in international and multicultural Agile teams.
