Job Description:
The Business Analyst supports Finance ERP integration and M&A initiatives through advanced data analysis, process documentation, and cross‑functional collaboration. This role partners closely with Finance, IT, Operations, and acquisition partner teams to analyze financial data, identify process gaps, and support scalable enterprise reporting and integration.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and manipulate large financial data sets using SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, and other tools to support ERP integrations and reporting
Facilitate requirements‑gathering sessions and workshops with Finance, Operations, and acquisition partner teams
Develop understanding of current‑state processes and perform process gap analysis to support detailed data integration
Map and harmonize data between partner legacy systems to new platforms
Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
Gather and translate finance and business requirements into clear process documentation and analytical outputs
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and analysis to ensure accuracy during system integrations
Contribute to the development of a scalable finance integration playbook for future M&A activity
Support change management efforts related to new systems, processes, and reporting standards
Collaborate with external consultants, IT, and finance to ensure timely and accurate integration deliverables
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, data analytics, or business analysis roles
Strong SQL skills for querying, validating, and reconciling financial data
Experience with Power BI, Alteryx (or similar visualization & analytics tools)
Solid understanding of finance and accounting processes
ERP system integration or finance transformation, Deltek Vantagepoint experience a plus
Ability to communicate effectively with Finance, Accounting, and business stakeholders
Experience working in fast‑paced, M&A‑driven environments preferred
Background in finance transformation or advisory / transaction services
Experience supporting enterprise‑scale data models and reporting standards
Ability to travel up to 25%, as well as work some evenings and weekends to support integration cutovers and partner firm needs
