The Business Analyst serves as a key link between business operations, technology teams, and leadership to ensure smooth and successful system conversions. This role focuses on planning, monitoring, and coordinating all business-side conversion activities, from setup, to initial mock events through post-conversion. The analyst builds and manages the Line of Business Command Center framework, ensuring governance, communication, and decision-making are aligned during each stage of the conversion.
Working across multiple business units, the Business Analyst gathers and analyzes data in real time to identify risks, track progress, and support quick issue resolution. They lead efforts in creating conversion playbooks, event management structures, and associate support plans to ensure every area of the organization is prepared for operational change. By combining analytical insight with structured execution, the Business Analyst ensures business continuity, data integrity, and an efficient transition to new systems and processes.
This is a Remote, Full-Time position that will also require some travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage a LOB Command Center Team, creating a framework, oversight, resources and readiness processes to execute conversion strategies.
- Lead teams in developing detailed Workstream Conversion Playbooks and process documentation.
- Create, monitor, and maintain the Associate Conversion Support Plan across business, digital, marketing, and operational areas.
- Plan and coordinate multiple mock and dress rehearsal events, including “Point of No Return” scenarios.
- Collaborate with the PMO to schedule and oversee all conversion activities.
- Analyze real-time data to identify issues, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Monitor conversion progress, milestones, and risks through data-driven reporting and dashboards.
- Coordinate with IT, operations, and business teams to ensure rapid issue resolution and alignment.
- Prepare and deliver regular status updates, incident reports, and post-conversion analyses.
- Document lessons learned and maintain detailed records to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement post-conversion decommissioning, archiving, and ongoing support plans.
- 5+ years of experience developing and leading a large-scale Command Center within the banking industry, or consulting for similar projects in the banking industry.
- Experience developing and managing activities around banking system conversions affecting branches, call centers, digital banking, and operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analysis and process optimization.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, SQL)
- Experienced with process documentation and flow design using Microsoft Visio or similar tool.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Skilled in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel for reporting and presentation delivery.
- Familiarity with SharePoint and Jira for project tracking and collaboration.
