Purpose of the position:
South China Morning Post is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst / Assistant Operations Manager to support our dynamic Revenue Operations team.
This role bridges the gap between data-driven business analysis and hands-on commercial execution. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in process optimization, workflow design, and system enhancements, paired with direct experience managing complex billing operations. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring operational efficiency, system integrity, and seamless financial reconciliation to support the overall success of the Revenue Operations team.
In this role, you will:
Process Optimization & System Enhancements:
- Map and optimize current revenue operational workflows to eliminate bottlenecks and maximize operational efficiency.
- Identify system gaps and spearhead initiatives for automation, tool integration, and structural process improvements.
- Drive system upgrades by capturing functional technical requirements and executing end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Financial Reconciliation & Reporting
- Perform rigorous billing reconciliation and data scrubbing to ensure 100% accuracy across all commercial and financial records.
- Develop robust financial models that look beyond raw numbers to uncover operational risks and unlock revenue opportunities.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Support
- Act as the primary bridge between Sales teams, Finance, and Technical teams to resolve the queries promptly.
- Provide ad-hoc analytical support for strategic executive projects and critical departmental assignments as required.
Billing & Vendor Management
- Lead and mentor a small operations team in managing end-to-end customer and vendor billing cycles, upholding high standards of accuracy, invoicing efficiency, and contract compliance.
Skills and Experience that will lead to success:
- Degree holder or above in Business Management, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline.
- 4+ years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst, Revenue Operations Specialist, or Billing Analyst.
- High proficiency in Salesforce is required. Ability to quickly learn additional software applications that interface with Salesforce.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets skills with a proven capability in building complex models.
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of organizational workflows and system interdependencies.
- Proactive mindset with a demonstrated ability to anticipate business needs and recommend high-impact process improvements.
- Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines under minimal supervision.
- Professional fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese is essential.
Work location will be at Causeway Bay office.
