As a Business Analysis Associate II within JPMorganChase, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency and strategic initiatives. Leveraging your advanced understanding of business processes and data analytics, you will develop innovative solutions to support business strategies. Your expertise in cross-functional collaboration will enable you to work effectively with diverse teams and ensure alignment with organizational goals. You will be responsible for planning and directing work, making decisions that impact departmental outcomes, and managing complex situations. Your ability to think strategically, coupled with your strong customer service skills, will be crucial in delivering results that enhance the customer journey and drive the success of our business.
Job responsibilities

  • Analyze data from multiple sources to support business decisions and planning.
  • Build business case analysis with cost/benefit view for operational and strategic initiatives and present results to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align assumptions, build capacity requirements, and execute strategy.
  • Deliver capacity and financial insights for budgeting, resource use, cost per unit, allocations, headcount and expense trends.
  • Track efficiency goals in forecasts and track actual results against forecast.
  • Partner with Finance/Capacity teams to maintain capacity models as forecasted volume and headcount trends change.
  • Automate and streamline processes to improve efficiency.
  • Assess scenarios and risks to support informed decisions that impact department outcomes.


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 3+ years of experience analyzing data, identifying variances/trends, and producing clear, actionable reporting.
  • Advanced experience with Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of finance and accounting concepts and the ability to build basic financial models, develop a business case scenario, and explain results and build business cases that include accurate cost/benefit analysis and impacts to productivity, headcount, expense and P&L's
  • Logical problem-solver who can analyze capacity data, forecast outcomes, and perform under tight deadlines; works independently while collaborating well with others.
  • Strong communication skills: concise writing and speaking, active listening, can summarize discussions and create executive-ready summaries/presentations including managing complex inquiries, analytical problem solving, organization and data analytics including understanding financial concepts and analyzing financial data
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and partnership skills; able to work with on-site and distributed teams and communicate complex topics clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Knowledge of key operational metrics used for capacity modeling, budgeting, unit cost analysis, and trend reporting.
  • Ability to apply controls/validation from data source through reporting to ensure accuracy and integrity and assess risk impact.
  • Provide exemplary Customer service: communicates consistently, partners with Finance, and helps resolve issues for business partners.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Math, Business, Computer Science, or related field and Knowledge of mortgage banking servicing/operations/originations.
  • Knowledge of Essbase/Dodeca (or similar financial tools) is a plus. Experience with Alteryx/Tableau.
  • Experience planning and implementing automation to improve processes; understanding of Loan Administration Operations.
  • Intermediate data literacy skills, with ability to read, write, and communicate data in context and apply appropriate controls and the ability to use AI tools to improve analysis, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
