MullenLowe seeking a Business Affairs Associate - Talent to join our LA team.

Reporting to the SVP, Director of BA, the successful candidate will have well-rounded SAG knowledge and talent residual estimating experience, the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines, and the desire to work closely with BA Managers and Account teams and take ownership of talent related processes across agency accounts. The BA Associate- Talent will also handle non-union talent estimating and negotiating, print related talent payments, and will be expected to contribute to the creative process as needed and offer workable creative talent related solutions while closely navigating risk. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support all union and non-union talent fees and rights
  • Calculate residual estimates across all accounts 
  • Provide ballparks and descriptions for client estimates
  • Complete and manage talent portion of client trackers
  • Partner with producers to estimate session fees
  • Draft talent contracts
  • Process talent contracts through payroll
  • Report use including sharing traffic with payroll and tracking use against guarantees 
  • Approve all talent related invoices
  • Compare ACS to standard SAG rates
  • Negotiate Talent and Oversee Renegotiations 
  • Communicate Holding, Usage Term Expirations and MPUs to clients and account teams
  • Estimate and manage SAG overscale pension allocations and payments
  • Deal with SAG Transfer of Rights Agreements and onboard new clients with payroll
  • Navigate AF/M and ACTRA estimates and payments

Job Requirements:

  • Four-year degree is required.
  • 2-3 years of experience handling SAG talent payments.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, strong communication skills, can-do attitude, calm disposition, and a team player.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Diplomatic problem solver.
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, quick learner.

Ability to work independently, but knows when to ask for help.
The salary range for this position is $50-$80K. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience and qualifications.

$50,000$80,000 USD
