We are currently seeking an BAS Associate to join our Business Advisory Services (BAS) team in Atlanta, GA! As part of the Johnson Lambert team, you’ll work in an environment where your entrepreneurial spirit will thrive as you build upon your technical skills, take on leadership opportunities, and collaborate with a highly motivated workforce and client group.


What’s the job like?


  • Perform technology risk assessments and evaluate, test, and document IT general controls (IT control environment, program development, change management, logical and physical access, and operations) and business process controls (includes key reports, automated controls, interfaces testing, claims, general ledger, etc.)
  • Assess security of client networks, hosts, and applications
  • Measure and report clients’ compliance with established industry or government requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve control effectiveness and efficiency
  • Work with BAS team to identify and resolve client issues discovered during audit and review process
  • Supervise, train, and mentor new associates and interns on IT audit processes
  • Plan work in appropriate priorities and sequences
  • Proactively communicate with appropriate management regarding work status, schedule requests, and time/budget variances, etc.
  • Manage work time appropriately to ensure client expectations and deadlines are consistently met
  • Prepare draft engagement deliverables
  • Develop professional relationships with clients and demonstrate appropriate behavior at all times at client site
  • Maintain professional standards of the firm and client confidentiality
  • Develop technical skills through on the job experience and formal channels, such as seminars, in-house CPE training, CISA certification, etc.
  • Participate in CPE relevant to work assignments and maintain compliance with firm CPE requirements
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by building strong working relationships at peer, mentor, and team levels
  • Actively participate in Career Development Program (CDP) activities, including leadership, recruiting, marketing, and professional areas


What you’ll need for success:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, or other relevant field
  • Strong aptitude for technical work assignments
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Ability to work additional hours and travel to client sites as dictated by client needs
  • 0-1 years of work experience in public accounting
  • A strong track record of leadership
  • Experience or aptitude for using data analytics tools and techniques would be an advantage
