BulletFarm is looking for a Gameplay Programmer to join our Founding Team as we set out to build a new co-op FPS. In this role, you will work closely with the rest of the team to help us design, prototype, and build combat and AI infrastructure and features in Unreal 5. As a member of the founding team, your purview will be wide, so you’ll have the opportunity to plan and lay the foundation for major pieces of the game. We are a small, highly collaborative team focused on making awesome games for people to play, and we’re looking for folks who are excited to work together and learn new things.
The Job
Senior Gameplay Programmer working on a co-op FPS game. You will:
- Work with the Design team to build features that support AI development
- Implement specific AI behaviors
- Design and implement combat systems and features (e.g. weapons, locomotion, abilities)
- Optimize performance of combat and AI systems
- Participate in project estimation and planning
- Support and collaborate closely with partner teams
Qualifications
- Experience performing in a senior gameplay programming role or equivalent
- Strong C++ programming
- Game AI programming experience
- Experience working with multiplayer games
- Experience with one or more shipped titles from start to submission to release
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Unreal 5 AI programming
- Experience working on a first-person shooters
- Experience with game scripting languages like Blueprint, Lua, Python, etc.
- Experience with performance optimization
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science

- Staff Level: $98,000 - $130,000
- Senior Level: $140,000 - $180,000
- Principal/Lead Level: $180,000 - $205,000
Salary Ranges: CAD
- Staff Level: $90,000 - $120,000
- Senior Level: $120,000 - $150,000
- Principal/Lead Level: $150,000 - $188,000
