Job Description for BTP-CPI Senior Consultant Role (8 to 10 Years)

Experience: 8-10 years of full-time experience in SAP Integration technologies (SAP PO/PI etc.), out of which experience of 1-2 projects in BTP-CPI & APIM

Job Description:

Business Process / Functional knowledge:

• General business process knowledge in SD & MM.
• Integration knowledge with S/4HANA using SAP BTP-CPI & APIM

Soft skills/Analytical skills & Other Requirements:

• Good analytical skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Very good awareness of entire SDLC and processes related to SDLC. Should also be good in visualizing and formulating process flow diagrams.
• Mandatory: Must be willing to work in any shift: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM shift or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM shift (all hours in IST)

Technical: BTP CPI

Mandatory:

• Should have 8-10 years of overall experience on BTP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and SAP PO single stack.
• Responsible for architecting integrations between on premise SAP S/4 HANA and cloud applications (such as SFDC, SAP Fiori Cloud, etc.), other middleware applications (like: Informatica cloud, GXS Open text (MFT) tools) and on premise applications (like DB applications).
• Should understand the functional design, gathering requirements and scoping solutions, technical design, requirement gathering, bug fixing, testing, documenting, and implementing solutions
• Should be familiar with cloud connector setup configurations for connecting CPI to on premise applications (like: S4 HANA, Mail server, DB, etc.)
• Should have worked as a hands-on CPI middleware consultant as an individual contributor.
• Must have hands on exposure in BTP IS - Cloud Integration, API Management (API portal, API Business Hub) expertise with policies, products, application creation.
• Should be able to finetune API related I/F’s adhering to best practices.
• Use API Portal to call exposed SAP S4 HANA standard/custom API’s (via APIM) and necessary configuration setup within S4 HANA for invoking (REST/SOAP/ODATA API’s)
• Experience in configuring API providers.
• Well versed in creation of API application keys and its management.
• Should have experience in discovering standard Integration flows and defining custom Integration flows.
• Expertise in handling integrations using various CPI adapters: ODATA, SFTP, IDOC, RFC/BAPI, SOAP, HTTP, Process Direct, ABAP Proxy Adapters.
• Should have experience in handling different data conversion techniques (like json to xml, csv to xml etc.)
• Should have experience in using various CPI pallet options (Integration patterns – Message transformations, Aggregator, Enricher, Splitter, etc.)
• Should have experience in SAP integration technologies PI, CPI, EDI, ALE/ IDOC, RFC/BAPI and API based integrations.
• Must have expertise in writing Groovy & Java scripts.
• Well experienced in WSDL, JSON, XML, XSD and XSLT technologies.
• Must have expertise in Message Mapping techniques (including defining UDF’s) and XSLT mappings.
• Must Have knowledge in CPI exception handling, error notification techniques, data persistence and retry mechanisms.
• Should have knowledge in handling security artifacts, encryption, and decryption mechanisms
• Should have both CPI Development Experience and Operation Support experience.
• Able to transport CPI & APIM related Design Objects from non-production tenants to production tenants. (using any one of the methods: CTS+, TMS)
• Create Technical/Interface specifications & API documentations based on the functional specs and Integration requirements.

Nice to Have:

• Working knowledge of SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) service.

• Ability to design and optimize application and data integration processes across disparate systems
• Practical experience implementing service-oriented architecture design and enabling technologies including messaging, XML, SOAP/REST web services and HTTP
• Good to have knowledge on BTP IS – B2B/EDI Trading partner management and Integration Solution Advisory methodology (Exploring MIG, MAG, etc)
• Good to have knowledge on Event based Integrations using SAP NetWeaver Event-Enablement & Event Mesh (Queues & Topics)
• Well versed with Database - SAP HANA/ SAP HANA Cloud and Oracle
• Understanding & knowledge of SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP)- Based service
• Capable of recommending on premise as well as on-cloud integration Best Practices solutions from application integration standpoint.
• Experience in Migration Projects from other middleware (like: Web Methods, GXS) is preferred
• Candidate should be able understand & work on complex custom business requirements. Should be able to debug and fix issues with minimum TAT.
• Candidate should be able to upscale the tech team on the BTP platform.
