Broadband Product and Sales Manager
The Role
A Brief Overview
The Broadband Product and Sales Manager is responsible for leading and executing the company's sales strategy in the rapidly evolving high-speed internet market. This role requires a strong strategic mindset, leadership skills, and the ability to drive business growth through data-driven decision-making and relationship-building.
What you will do
• Sales Leadership & Strategy: Provide strategic direction for the sales team, guiding them through the evolving landscape of high-speed internet connectivity. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with company goals.
• Market Expansion & Partnerships: Establish and nurture strategic relationships with municipal and county leaders, leveraging expertise in MDU/HOA bulk sales to expand market reach and impact.
• Team Development & Performance: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of residential sales professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and success.
• Compensation & Incentives: Design and manage a competitive compensation structure that motivates peak performance and drives consistent achievement of sales targets.
• Data-Driven Sales Execution: Analyze sales performance, track trends, and implement data-driven strategies to optimize results.
• Product Development & Market Insights: Identify emerging market needs and collaborate with leadership to develop new offerings, with a focus on Calix solutions for residential and commercial customers.
• RFP Ownership: Manage the entire lifecycle of RFPs, including review, pricing, proposal development, presentations, and follow-through with potential clients.
• Customer Engagement & Communication: Understand customer needs, provide solutions, and deliver compelling sales presentations to drive business growth.
• Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that maximize market penetration and return on investment.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Marketing, or related field Required
• Master's Degree Business Administration, Marketing, or related field Preferred
• An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
• 10+ years Experience in telecom or sales leadership Preferred
• 3-5 years Experience in product and market development Required
• 1-3 years Experience with Residential, Business Development and Sales Required
• Understanding of both residential, commercial and enterprise sales in the telecommunications or related industry.
• Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills in a political nature.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor a team.
• A forward-looking mindset that embraces emerging technologies and sales methodologies to gain a competitive edge in the market.
• Proficiency in data analysis to make informed decisions, optimize sales strategies, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ability to create and deliver regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
• Strong knowledge in negotiating complex contracts, partnerships, and agreements.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service with high levels of satisfaction.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, technologies, and customer demands.
• Experience in building and leading enterprise sales functions.
• Proven leadership and sales management experience.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and sales performance metrics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Sales or Marketing Certificates Preferred
