You will join a cohort of other Interns and learn the skills needed for a future career in marketing, strategy and technology. Our leadership will guide you through an apprenticeship-style learning environment with personalized coaching and mentorship. You'll have areas of ownership from day one, with self-guided projects supported by instruction delivered by senior members of the Brand Strategy team.

Please note: Our internship program will be in-person in Charlotte, NC.

What you'll do:
  • Keep a pulse on cultural, consumer and category trends, surfacing insights to the Brand Strategy team to inform creative briefs and integrated marketing planning
  • Support exploration of Credit Karma’s audience segmentation, helping translate segments into human truths, storytelling opportunities and creative inspiration
  • Conduct competitive and creative audits across finance and adjacent categories to understand how brands show up across channels
  • Partner with Brand Strategy, Research, Product Marketing and Creative teams to shape strategic inputs for campaigns and initiatives
  • Assist in mapping how brand initiatives show up across the funnel and across channels, identifying opportunities for stronger integration
  • Synthesize insights into clear, compelling presentations and frameworks that can be used by cross-functional partners

Minimum basic requirements

  • Candidates must be in at least their first or second year of college and enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree program
  • Strong interest in brand strategy, marketing, advertising or consumer insights
What we’d like to see:
  • A deep curiosity about people, culture and why brand succeed (or fail)
  • Ability to connect dots across data, trends and observations
  • A deep fascination and interest for consumer behavior and what makes people – especially Gen Z – TikTok
  • Interest in how brands show up across paid, owned and in-product experiences
  • Self-motivated, thoughtful and detail-oriented with a strong point of view
  • Passion for mission-drive brands and/or personal finance
