Description & Requirements
Position Summary:
As the Brand Manager, Growth Strategy - Club for Primal Kitchen, you will drive innovation and strategy across all categories in the Club Channel. In this highly cross functional role, you will project manage all club innovation and renovation including designing and scoping new product configurations, leading commercialization with manufacturers all the way through sell-in, monitor the club P&L and lead the day-to-day business of our biggest growth driving customers.
This position is best suited for someone who is strategic, consumer focused, data-literate, innovative, organized, with a strong bias for action and communication.
This is a fully remote role open to any US based applicants and reports to the EVP of Growth.
Key Components of the Role:

  • Commercialization & Operational Management:
    • Lead commercialization and project management of innovation and renovation from concept to launch across various manufacturing partners
    • Set and manage short-term and long-term forecasts, partnering with operations team on a weekly basis to adjust production schedules and materials to create an adaptative supply chain based on customer needs
    • Dotted line into the Head of Innovation & Product
  • Strategic Sales Leadership:
    • Development of strategic sell stories to aid in sell-in of projects with both internal and external partners
    • Leads and/or assists with major business reviews and customer visits, including annual reviews and "top-to-top" meetings and customer innovation partnership brainstorming
    • Drive excellent customer service and interfaces with key customers contacts to assess current service levels, understand areas for improvement and ensure improvement plans are implemented (case fill rates, shipping rates, lead time, capabilities).
  • Brand Management: Determine financial viability, operational feasibility, and strategic fit of brand club innovation and strategies while creating innovation in line with customer preferences.
    • Deliver the Primal Kitchen Club Annual Operating Plan by managing pricing, packaging, trade merchandising, advertising and promotion strategies with allocating the support and budget accordingly
    • Provide updates to management on competitive activity (both at Customer and in the market), Customer specific strategy changes, key marketplace updates and other business-related activities.
    • Coordinate closely with the marketing team on innovative, timely and efficient shopper marketing plans to drive quick performance during short project rotation bursts to maximize sales, awareness, household penetration and ROI.
    • Own visual merchandising and strategy for Club working with the operations, design team, marketing, and shopper marketing to ensure Primal Kitchen always looks #1 in club while highlighting the attributes that matter most to consumers.
    • Lead breakthrough communication during key brand marketing initiatives, operational capabilities, and brand moments throughout the year.
  • Insights to Action:
    • Lead learning and validation journey in Club in partnership with the consumer insights and marketing teams.
    • Leverage syndicated data sources to understand own and competitor performance, bringing forth insights and recommendations to integrate into overall strategy to drive business impact. Develop unique measures of competitive activity due to limited competitor consumption data in this channel.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ year of experience in related field
  • Experience with at least one of the following databases: Nielsen, IRI, or SPINS
  • Experience working with dynamic cross-functional teams
  • Ability to handle simultaneous projects and deliver in agreed upon timelines
  • Strong financial acumen - understanding of profit and revenue drivers and analysis
  • Proficiency in deploying trade
  • Understanding foundations of the P&L and Forecasting

Office Collaboration & Hybrid Work Environment

We also believe providing a more flexible and agile model is essential in today's workplace. A majority of our office-based employees will be able to work remotely for up to two days each week. Additionally, employees who are subject to this hybrid model will be eligible to work from anywhere for up to six weeks in a rolling 12-month period (in maximum two-week increments and according to benefits and tax guidelines). Some jobs may be required to be performed fully in office depending on the role's responsibilities and requirements.
Base Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $143,700.00
