Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
Define end‑to‑end integration architectures using Boomi Integration, APIM, and Flow, including canonical models and enterprise integration patterns (request/response, pub/sub, async, orchestration/choreography).
Design runtime topologies (Atom, Molecule, Atom Cloud) for availability, resiliency, performance, and security; plan promotion paths across Dev → Test → Prod.
Establish API lifecycle & governance in Boomi APIM (design standards, versioning, documentation, SLAs/SLOs, rate limits/throttling, developer onboarding).
Delivery & Migration
Lead discovery, assessment, and migration from other iPaaS/EAI platforms to Boomi; plan parallel runs, cutover strategies, rollback, and decommissioning.
Provide technical leadership across delivery phases (requirements, estimates/SOW inputs, build, test automation, performance tuning, go‑live, post‑go‑live).
Security & Compliance
Implement OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, mTLS, secrets management, network zoning/proxies, and data protection-in‑transit/at‑rest; enforce least‑privilege access.
DevOps & Quality
Implement CI/CD for Boomi (Git‑based version control, package promotion, environment configuration, automated testing/linting, deployment automation).
Define observability: logging, metrics, and alerting for Boomi Atoms/Molecules; integrate with enterprise monitoring/ITSM.
Collaboration & Enablement
Serve as trusted advisor to business and technical leaders; communicate architecture trade‑offs to both executive and engineering audiences.
Mentor engineers/developers; promote Boomi best practices, code reviews, reusable patterns, and internal enablement/training.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years in integration/solution architecture with 5+ years designing solutions on Boomi or equivalent iPaaS at enterprise scale.
Strong hands‑on expertise with Boomi Integration and Boomi API Management; working knowledge of Boomi Flow; exposure to MDH and/or B2B/EDI is highly valued.
Proven experience designing Atom/Molecule/Atom Cloud architectures (HA/DR, clustering, scaling, runtime governance).
Deep knowledge of EIPs, data formats and transformations (JSON, XML, XSLT, CSV, EDI X12/EDIFACT), and API specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger).
Solid understanding of public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) networking and security fundamentals (VPC/VNet, private connectivity, firewalls, proxies).
DevOps proficiency: Git, CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins), automated testing, environment promotion, and artifact/version governance.
Proficiency in integration‑adjacent scripting/logic (JavaScript, Groovy), SQL, and connector configuration (databases, SaaS apps, ERP, messaging).
Excellent communication, estimation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to lead solution workshops and design reviews.
Preferred Qualifications
Boomi certifications (any combination): Certified Professional Developer, Associate Integration Architect, Associate Runtime Architect, API Management, Master Data Hub.
Experience with observability platforms such as OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, New Relic, with practical dashboards/alerts for Boomi runtimes.
Experience developing on ServiceNow or integrating ServiceNow with enterprise tooling (e.g., Dynatrace, Boomi); current ServiceNow certifications are a plus.
Prior work with other integration/iPaaS platforms (helpful for migrations and comparative design): MuleSoft, TIBCO, Informatica (IICS), Workato, SnapLogic, Jitterbit, IBM App Connect, Azure Logic Apps, SAP Integration Suite, Oracle Integration Cloud, WSO2.
Event‑driven and streaming architectures using Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, AWS EventBridge/Kinesis, or Google Pub/Sub; message brokers/queues (MQ, Service Bus, SQS).
Experience packaging/deploying Boomi Runtimes in containers (Docker) and operating them under Kubernetes (resource sizing, scaling, secrets, config)—nice to have; not the core of the role.
Core Skills
Architecture documentation (context/solution views, sequence/data flows), API and data governance, and performance/reliability engineering.
Problem solving with a bias to action, high attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and secure design.
Leadership and mentorship in a cross‑functional setting; ability to influence without authority.
Working Conditions
Remote/hybrid with occasional on-site workshops as needed, travel up to 25%.
Flexibility to work outside normal business hours to meet project deadlines or address critical issues.
