The Role

Position Overview

This role manages day-to-day bookkeeping duties, donation recording, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. Ideal for someone organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

  • Record and reconcile donations, online giving, and contributions
  • Process accounts payable and receivable
  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries
  • Assist with payroll preparation
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial reports
  • Maintain vendor records and assist with invoicing
  • Support annual audits and documentation requests
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial information
  • Collaborate remotely with the Finance Office

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets capabilities
  • Excellent accuracy and organization
  • Reliable internet and computer

Preferred:

  • Church, nonprofit, or donor-management experience
  • Familiarity with ParishSOFT, Realm, or similar tools
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
