Position Overview
This role manages day-to-day bookkeeping duties, donation recording, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. Ideal for someone organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy.
Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile donations, online giving, and contributions
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries
- Assist with payroll preparation
- Reconcile bank statements and financial reports
- Maintain vendor records and assist with invoicing
- Support annual audits and documentation requests
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial information
- Collaborate remotely with the Finance Office
Qualifications
Required:
- Bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets capabilities
- Excellent accuracy and organization
- Reliable internet and computer
Preferred:
- Church, nonprofit, or donor-management experience
- Familiarity with ParishSOFT, Realm, or similar tools
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
